Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
Looking at D3 I don’t think that emc was necessarily saved by scum.
On the surface it looks plausible, but the main movers off of emc onto other wagons were in order 1) damo 2)rdrivera 3) emc off himself

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
@Tom, what's your rationale for Fox when on page 169 you declared Bis as scum for not contributing "anything original" by listing most recently visible players in their reads?
The only rationale I find occurs on page 120 when you declare Fox is suspicious because they followed you on a wagon and your thinking made sense to them. However, you make the point of suggesting that your thinking didn't make sense.
Then page 143, you share that you think Bis is scum. But no mention of Fox again.
Why, and with so little pointed evidence, why the vote on Fox and not Bis?

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
Also I’m looking at the Nanook wagon that started the day D3. I think that would be a logical wagon for scum to start as new players - especially those who come across a bit arrogant.
Early Nanook voters were Jamie, HR, bo, Hamilton.
I townread for his recent outbursts, but he could be faking those. It is unusual for him to park a vote and never move it the entire day though.
HR was the main pusher of this wagon.
Bo’s case on Nanook is absolute garbage. Seriously to read it. It is on page 89.
Hamilton’s vote on p. 90 is more interesting in relation to Foxcastle. He shades Foxcastle without offering any real opinion and then quickly moves into choosing between HR and Nanook - using Fox’s reasoning. If Fox is scum I would be more suspicious of HB

I don’t townread Fox and I expect more of him.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 2:00 pm@Tom, what's your rationale for Fox when on page 169 you declared Bis as scum for not contributing "anything original" by listing most recently visible players in their reads?

I posted about Bis to get a reaction more than anything - but his reaction of responding about how I suck didn’t help me much. I’ve never played with Bismarck so I don’t think it’s a super strong read. I do find it suspicious that he seems to parrot popular reads, but he could be doing that as town.

Also, I townread ghug and think he is a good player, so I’m content to sheep him until I do the digging myself

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
If we look at when EMC was still in a critical point, it's with 7 minutes remaining. Votes tied at 4 include EMC, Bis, and TFB. You shift off Bis (who you claim is scum) to TFB. You didn't drop the vote on EMC, but you made it "safer" for them.Tom Bombadil wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 1:52 pmLooking at D3 I don’t think that emc was necessarily saved by scum.

Ok, I get what you're saying. I'll go back to read Fox's posts. If the Fox wagon doesn't build, who would be your next preferred wagon?Tom Bombadil wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 2:03 pm

Well, that depends. If emc turns out to be scum I just played horrible.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 2:11 pmIf we look at when EMC was still in a critical point, it's with 7 minutes remaining. But I strongly townread emc and voted a null read TFB to save him. Bismarck was my ideal target but his wagon had been there most of the day and not gotten a ton of traction. My townread of emc was stronger than my scumread of Bismarck so voted to save emc

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
Jamie, I was turning that into a teaching exercise for HB, since HB self-admittedly doesn't know what to look for. I have my own thoughts on which it is.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:05 amYou know the answers to these questions. Why are you asking them in this manner?goldfinger0303 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 4:25 am
As for Jamiet - the D1 emc wagon was tied for second. Again, by itself the fact doesn't have a lot of value. Is Jamiet shifting votes to always be on the second wagon? That could be scum indicative. Has he pushed hard on that #2 wagon and been ignored by a bunch of people? That could be he's townie onto something and scum are pushing a counter-wagon.
I was the first person on the EMC wagon D1 and the first person on the Nanook wagon D3. I was the third person on the HR wagon on D4, but I moved there with 22 hours left in the day. Therefore very clearly I was not "shifting votes around" to keep myself on the second wagon in the way that you imply.
Why are you throwing vague shade on me, based on a suggested voting behaviour that does not actually resemble the way I voted?

Thanks for that. Given that your vote sits on Fox, I assume you're considering Option two of your scenario.goldfinger0303 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 2:51 pm

Thanks Peterlund
Nanook is dead. He was Trinity, a Protector Mason and who's brains were splattered against the kitchen fridge

Sorry for being EMC the past couple days. Teleworking means that I just don't spend time online in the evenings after work.

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
It’s definitely fatigue. Without flipping scum it’s hard to reread so much when the only change is town flips which sometimes don’t really add much to what I already thought.
Even the ship info Nanook gave us didn’t really change any of my thoughts about each EOD.

Well, there's not really a whole lot of new stuff to analyse after yesterday because it was a pointless day... For everyone who was there.
For the people who were not around (which is not just the replacements), I'd have hoped to hear a lot more about their thoughts on EoD4, rdrivera, Bunny, the shipmates and co.

Yeah, I'm ready to pull the fatigue card myself, but there are a lot of people who have barley contributed since Nanook's claim, which seems like enough in the way of new information to be worth something.Hellenic Riot wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:35 pmWell, there's not really a whole lot of new stuff to analyse after yesterday because it was a pointless day...
