Re: MAFIA XXXVI: ODDJOB'S REVENGE
I didn't see much of a problem with Ike's hypothetical gun question... is it really that different than his previous question to Jamie regarding vibes... asking someone who they are thinking about voting for (or who they they think should be voted for) has potential to gain knowledge... as much knowledge as is possible on D1. Obviously, I am going to have to look up the specifics of how a gun can be used in other variants... but in this case it seems no different than asking who would you most want eliminated.
Given the backlash he got from TrPrado and Ghug... they are both coming off a little scummy to me... especially since TrPrado never answered the question. ##Vote TrPrado.
But, its also interesting that Ghug joined in given he wasn't even asked.

Re: MAFIA XXXVI: ODDJOB'S REVENGE
I will sleep early bye.
For now I am not considering changing my vote.
Some sheeping, some gut power!, some reaction to weird ghug posts.
I really would like to play with ghug but he feels scum, doesn't he?

His analysis of yav on p.7Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 7:37 pmI could be convinced. Would you show me some examples of what you mean by Ike trying to game solve?
If he's scum, I don't think the approach would be to try to get inside yav's head. It'd probably be to paint yav as erratic (which I guess you could say that last line does, but to me it reads more as just questioning his motives).
Also on p.7-8, the exchange between Ike and TrPrado felt townie to me.

Can you flesh this out more? Why does ghug "feel like scum" to you?

Re: MAFIA XXXVI: ODDJOB'S REVENGE
When I read Ike on pages 7-8, I see a wide breadth of focus. Asking questions to several people and displaying a reaction to current events. Possibly consistent with a townie who, as Ike says, is "trying to facilitate conversation."thamrick wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 8:21 pmHis analysis of yav on p.7Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 7:37 pmI could be convinced. But I don't see much direction to his posts. I don't see difficult questions or urgency to engage or move the conversation forward. The questions feel more, to me, like "Look, I'm reading the thread and asking questions." A couple of his posts stand out in that regard:

Hypothetically if you had a gun that you had to shoot right now, who would you kill? Why?

@Balki,
If I'm not asking difficult questions or questions that move the conversation forward, go ahead and accompany your vote on me with some of the aforementioned questions directed at me.

1. Balki Bartokomous
Mixed signals. He latches on people's suspicions of others without originating any himself. I wouldn't lynch him D1 but someone to watch closely.
2. Bozotheclown
Seems towish, but I better not praise him too much or he will think I'm trying to buddy him.
3. Chaqa
Who?
4. Dargorygel
Townish. Questioning Balki for the random vote nonsense and some other stuff seemed to come from a townie place.
5. DemonRHK
Very slight townish, but based on one short post.
6. DrCJG
Townish. I liked his last post (pg 11)
7. Ezio
Come out and play!
8. Ghug
No clue, but not someone I would want to lynch D1.
9. Jamiet99uk
Angry about people talking about guns. Likely town.
10. Peterlund
Null. Nothing but a purportedly random vote that happened to fall on someone who had been getting several votes already (yes, that's TrPrado, for those who think I'm defending him).
11. RagingIke297
Townish. Proding people and trying to move things along even if some people pooh pooh his choice of questions.
12. Rdrivera2005
Hmmm... People who say I give them bad vibes give me bad vibes, but other than that, nothing, so nullish tending to scum.
13. Reedeer1
Posted twice after saying he was going to be more active this game. It's still an improvement over previous games, but I expect more from him. Nullish.
14. Snowy801
Normal useless D1 Snowy.
15. Stressedlines
Has anyone informed him that the game started?
16. Teacher2
Townish. Yes, I'm voting for him, but his reaction was correct, and he is seems clever and experienced and my reason for voting him applies better to someone completely new to the game, so I'm changing my mind.
17. Telamor
His vote for TrPrado seemed kind of opportunistic. Slightly scumish, I will ##VOTE Telamor for now.
18. Thamrick
Nullish. Not enough data yet.
19. TrPrado
Townish. No alarm bells so far. If I was going to buddy someone it would be bozo, not you Prado.
20. Xorxes
To answer Balki's question, my PM says I'm aligned with the town.
21. Yavuzovic
Not sure. Seems ok, but I think his scum persona is very similar to his town one.

@Ike,
I'd like to see your top scumread, with 3 bullet points for why you think that person is most likely to flip scum. Also, please describe your level of confidence in that read.

Same as my very cursory reasons for voting him or did you have something else in mind?Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 6:23 pmI have to say, I'm getting scumvibes from Xorxes too.
@xorxes, does your role PM say that you are aligned with the mafia?
You'd say he's fully suspicious for doing something he normally does before we've reached the 24 hour mark?dargorygel wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 7:28 pmI am not sure Ezio is just being Ezio. He usually pouts about no lynch. An anchor no-lynch seems either very lazy (unlike Ezio) or maybe Ezio trying to hide with a humor cover.
My initial vote was to bring him out from lurking. But the vote will upgrade ever so slightly to a 'suspicious now of Ezio' vote.
I strongly disagree here. Using a gun on someone is VASTLY different from who you're willing to vote for or are most confident in the scumminess.DrCJG wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 8:06 pmI didn't see much of a problem with Ike's hypothetical gun question... is it really that different than his previous question to Jamie regarding vibes... asking someone who they are thinking about voting for (or who they they think should be voted for) has potential to gain knowledge... as much knowledge as is possible on D1. I also did answer Ike's questions with much better answers than he was looking for.

While you are right that I am town, you are wrong that I have displayed any anger. I am very calm. Nothing in this game has angered me, apart perhaps from Ghug's body odour.

@xorxes, what would you expect Scum RagingIke to be doing on Day 1? Relatedly, what is alignment indicative about RagingIke's behavior so far?
