I didn't answer because the main reason I townread emc is the fact that a load of shifty people have suddenly flipped to wagonning him near EoD *twice* now. Nobody has ever given a case on him, nobody has ever explained why, and yet the votes have continually rolled up regardless. Half the votes D1 were thanks to a 'misread' and none of them were remotely explained D3. Do you not find all those completely unexplained votes to be suspicious, Jamie?

The people on the late D1 EMC wagon were:

Damo - who you know was town
Flash - who you know was town
Goldfinger - who you are townreading
BunnyGo - who you were townreading yesterday (although he jumped to Flash at the last minute)

and Me.

So who are these "shifty" people on D1? Apparently you must mean me, but who else?

I am no longer inclined to townread Goldie in the way I was before, and I dislike both his unexplained votes there (as he did it again D3) - though I was much more referring to D3 when I talked about the shifty people. Other people who I can see being scum that voted emc without explaining why D3 include rdrivera (who I notice has still yet to explain how he thought I was going soft on TFB D3 - Ever gonna respond to that one?), therul, Hamilton Brian, and ghug.


Indeed your D1 vote where you stated that were voting emc because you don't know why he was allowed to sign up is *still* the best explained case against emc three days later. Does that not strike you as remotely odd or problematic?

Some of it's just a general read. I think he cares more as a town player, and he's not shitposting that much. When he's here, he's often engaged, whereas I'd expect him to be more useless as scum. If he were in a scum daychat, I think he'd be more likely to show up more often, but obviously that's not drawing him out. Since I don't think Bunny is scum anymore, I don't think there's much to the theory that Bunny saved EMC; I think it's more likely that if EMC was scum, he'd have been a very easy bus, and since I townread you pretty strongly (and townlean on Goldfinger), it doesn't look to me like that happened. I don't think scum-EMC shows up on Day 3 and votes himself without looking at the tracker.

Counterpoint, Jamiet: can you explain why you scumread EMC? I'm skimming your ISO and I don't see an actual case on him besides that you are irritated he's a slacker.

So I see 4 cases with the Nanook/Ghug CC (is it?) scenario:

1) Both town. Nanook was RBd and Ghug thinks scum are being tricky
2) Nanook is scum. They held RB, and Ghug caught him!
3) Ghug is scum. He KNOWS that Nanook was RBd. Why’s he being weird?
4) Scum theatre. Why bother?

I don’t find case 3 or 4 compelling. But I especially don’t find 3 compelling. The only way 3 works is if Ghug thought someone would do this analysis and wants to next level it for a town read. But the level of thought this game has had would be moronic to try that.

What's finally pushed you over the edge?

I don’t know. I don’t know who to vote. Nothing you’ve done has seemed towny. I don’t like emc or HR wagons. The Foxcastle push seems a little like low hanging fruit. Nobody has voted you the entire game. Or even suspected you really, which is weird since it’s not like you’ve been obvtowning at all.

(Also, I like the idea of the personal satisfaction of potentially being able to say I was the only one who was onto you)
