It was just a guess, and I included 10 players as possibilities for the scum slots. Based on the assumption there was one mafia voting for damo, I chose you over RHK and rdrivera because they were pushing the damo as not VT thing early.BismarckAlive wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 4:17 amThis is real grasping at straws and trying to obfuscate. A lot of the people you mention as your current mafia team are simply not around to question your relative absence during D1. If anything, your lack of trying to find scum with any hint of evidential support points to you being scum in this one.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 2:07 amIf emc is mafia, I think he may have been the only mafia to have votes at EOD. I don't know why you would question my support for recruiting the Virus ASAP as being scum-driven, since I firmly believe Town and Virus will BOTH WIN if this is implemented.
Given that, I am one that sees the value in investigating all those that questioned that strategy when it was gathering steam, and the only person that did that was Damo. Hence my vote on Damo will stay there. And, unlike RdR, I don't think I am tunnelling.
BTW, in case you didn't get it, you are now on my scum list too, Bozo.

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
Sometime when players say things that are not accurate there is a scum motivation behind it. If that it the case here, I think it would be because you were trying to support your explanation that you knew the multiple references to 4 agents in the setup was an error.BismarckAlive wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 4:36 amI made a mistake there. I started reading the thread late because that is when I turned on the PC my morning time. I said "Hello" on p.7 (not 8), joined the thread every now and again in between doing other things, and it is true that I didn't say anything when others started talking about the Flavour counting error (I even resisted calling Jamiet scum for obfuscating / positing that the Matrix had 9 scum). Not sure why this is an issue, though.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 2:15 amHamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 2:11 am
@BozotheClown, I'll follow along with your reasoning about Bunny and Damo. I feel like it makes sense in the immediate term.
Suppose Damo is correct about there being scum on their wagon, why might you think it's Bismarck?I could not find where anyone commented on the error in the setup in the first 8 pages, so it is not clear to me why Bismarck said this.BismarckAlive wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 10:53 am
Hi BunnyGo,
It was clear in the signup thread, that Flum had pre-determined the splits according to how many players there were. From memory of that thread, if there were 17 players (the minimum I presume) then there were to be 3 scum and 1 3P, rising to 5 scum and 1 3P if there were 23 players (the maximum I also presume). So, since the Matrix materialised with 23 players, I simply remembered that thread. I also noticed that the numbers hadn't been updated by Flum in his flavour post, but others had already commented on that by the time I joined the thread on page 8.
Did you not think what Jamie said was a joke?
Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
Would you have scumread him as strongly if he had stayed on the wagon?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 5:09 pmIt is possible you wanted to avoid being on the wagon when it flipped town, since you started the wagon. Why at that point did you think flash was more likely to be scum than summit?e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 4:00 amI don't think I quite understand the reasoning here. If all of the top wagons were town at that point, emc may have wanted to get off summit's wagon when it looked like summit might be the kill, and emc tried hard to defend the switch when he was pressed on it.

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
I would not characterize my scum read of emc as strong, I just think he is most likely to be scum among those who were close to being the D1 kill. If he had stayed on the summit wagon, I would not have any specific reason to scum read him, even if summit flipped town.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 5:29 pmWould you have scumread him as strongly if he had stayed on the wagon?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 5:09 pmIt is possible you wanted to avoid being on the wagon when it flipped town, since you started the wagon. Besides the timing of the vote switch, I find emc's reasoning questionable, and I did not misinterpret his post, I knew he was talking about summit because he previously had posted this:
So, if emc is town, he no longer thought that summit was mafia but was still voting for him because he might be 3P, then decided it was not worth killing him just on the possibility of being 3P. The 3P read is the part I find questionable, because there is not much of a point trying to identify the 3P out of 22 other players.e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 7:41 pmScum, unlikely, but as 3P? Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
His response to my question did it. Something about the tone, but it shifted gut feel so off to flash it was, since I townread damo and agreed with Jamie early on about the feeling that he might've been scum, likely triggered by how he lurks ridiculously hard when so.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 5:09 pmIt is possible you wanted to avoid being on the wagon when it flipped town, since you started the wagon. Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
Reviewing EOD1, I find the flash execution to be another ‘out of nowhere dumb D1’ death by dumb people.
My thoughts on the votes that made him die:
Bunny – looks borderline simply because the move has no real substance behind it. There was a lot more content from him regarding EMC than flash, so the last second move to not ‘Execute Order 66’ emc was weird. His reasoning on first post of N1 is kinda poop and he’s doubled down on it: good job getting movement when you moved to EMC with 5 minutes left and the voting pattern indicated people were saving damo, but your ‘blaster firing’ of flash was because you wanted it to happen and nothing more. If you thought you did a good deed by making movement happen, you should’ve pushed Damo up to 5 instead of flash.
HR – his move enabled Bunny’s deciding vote over EMC. He at least voiced he didn’t like the EMC wagon and put his vote on one of the top other options. Curious why he chose Flash over damo if he didn’t like the EMC wagon… That should be explored.
EMC – moved to flash when summit was the main wagon (that he was also on). The move doesn’t strike me as self-preservation motivated. The reasoning was, as mentioned, because summit pinged him as not!town instead of scummy, so why flash then? I only see a mention of agreeing with Jamie’s opinion but that’s it. I don’t like his move personally or his reasons.
Summit – Actually articulates opinions on why he picks flash over the other available options (bunny and damo). I do like how he questions why EMC ‘let him off the hook’, it did seem kinda out of the air.
Tom – took bozo’s reasoning and agreed with it, parked a vote. Content with the flip or was busy. Cannot prove either, but he was only the 2nd vote on him with over 2 hours left of the day.
In summary of the Flash wagon: I don’t like Bunny’s defense when you analyze what movement actually happened. If scum were moving, it was to save damo yet he didn’t go that direction. HR enabled bunny, but I highly doubt they are scum together. EMC didn't self save and didn't really explain flash well enough or why he was more scum than a 'not!town' summit...

Also, let's really discuss the 'not!town' was good enough to not vote someone.
Town doesn't need the virus, so why protect it? There was way better odds to hit scum if you believe someone is 'not!town' than randoming to some other dude.
