That's a pretty terrible excuse. I don't like it when people do scummy looking things and then brush it off as a reaction test after they're called out on it.

Well, my actual read is that it points to you being town, so the aspersion there seems unnecessary.Tom Bombadil wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 6:06 pmCan you expand on why you think it’s out of character? Is this purely anecdotal? Or a hunch? Or what?Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 5:45 pmI've already put my opinion on this out there, but I will say that I agree that I found it to be out of character coming from Tom.Chaqa wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 5:43 pm
Tom's post struck me as odd when I read it, so I said so. People jumped onto it defending him, which seemed odd to me, and Tom is certainly a good enough player to do something like that. This is the same guy who fake claimed a scan to get a scumread shot, after all.
I can't speak to other things he's done, as I haven't read through the beginning of the day yet.
I speculate all the time about people subbing out. I’m not sure how you reached the conclusion that it is “out of character”
Seems like a hollow read fabricated just to post some sort of read.
I suppose anecdotal is the answer. I just don't think that speculating on out-of-game information that can't be proved or questioning GM information is in character for you. I don't have a strong basis for it, though, and don't particularly remember you commenting on previous subs (which isn't to say you haven't, of course).

If you're expecting people to react to the prospect of a tie, you're shit out of luck though. Last game there was a tie with 1 minute remaining of the D1 phase and only one person changed vote.Nanook wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 6:54 pmI don’t much care what you likegoldfinger0303 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 6:43 pmThat's a pretty terrible excuse. What are your actual reads, Nanook?
Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
Welp, that’s unfortunate. Generally you can sometimes get reads off how people react to ties being broken. Unfortunate it applies everywhere else but apparently doesn’t here. Very sad.Hellenic Riot wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 6:56 pmIf you're expecting people to react to the prospect of a tie, you're shit out of luck though. Bunny, rdrivera both slightly >rand scum imo. I don’t have high confidence in my reads.

I may just self-vote as an "abstain" of sorts. I haven't been able to read yet and won't until like 5:30 or so.goldfinger0303 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 6:49 pmLet's get some other people involved though

People usually react to ties and unties but closer to EOD.Nanook wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 7:01 pmWelp, that’s unfortunate. Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
Certainly there were reactions to it, but it'd have to be far closer to EoD for people to actually think a tie might happen.Nanook wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 7:01 pmWelp, that’s unfortunate. As for your scumreads - A Bunny wagon is very viable given the current vote spread and the fact two people are on it, and quite a few people are scumreading rdrivera, so it seems like you're certainly in a position to push for either of your favoured wagons instead of parking a reaction vote on someone you seemingly don't even believe is scum.

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
@Nanook - we still care. But only if you break a tie in the last ~hour or so. Half the people haven't updated their votes in the better part of a day and still have nonsense votes up.
...Or had time to process the explosion of the summit wagon when I'm still not sure how to view that whole thing

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
This post gives me strange mixed feelings. On one side Bismarck have been scummy compared to his town game on the other side he is an easy pick, with HR already pushing him. Humm.summit_fever wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 6:21 pm##vote bismarck
Bismarck has provided no scumreads. He normally has strong and early opinions and this day should be producing those in spades.
@summit - Can you give other reads?

Following the white rabbit (not a claim)
I am not normally a follower, but I need a start.

Bismarck and flash are my top scumreads. I also think somebody is powerwolfing. ghug was looking like a good choice but Bunny is also a possibility.
Tom is correct there is a non-zero chance that Maccasek's slot flips scum, but given what I've seen of Macca I think rolling scum with a daychat would have been enjoyable for them.

I mean I've been pushing him for quite a while and other than summit, nobody else has joined. And the second that summit did, a bunch of people voted him. Is Bismarck really that easy a push?rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 7:11 pmThis post gives me strange mixed feelings. I understand Tom point of view but I think Macca will not quit just for rolling scum. He seems eager to improve after last game.summit_fever wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 7:18 pmI'm feeling good about Jamie/goldfinger/Tom.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 7:11 pmThis post gives me strange mixed feelings. Agree about Tom/Jamiet. Don't you think Goldie could be powerwolfing (if I understood right your use of this word).

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
I wasn't in M55, but I tend to rate the ease of a wagon on how many people will consider flipping to it - And there's certainly been very few signs of people being happy to join this one.summit_fever wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 7:28 pmBismarck was miskilled on day 2 of M55.
