Were you napping, or do you live in central Asia?

I live in lovely Sydney, Australia! When you guys are awake (say NY 9am to 6pm) I am asleep (11pm to 8am) and vice versa. Luckily, I am a long-time night prowler (from online chess/stock trading/ICQ days) and other night activities (for example, this coming weekend I will be "attending" some online art auctions being conducted from Detroit, Michigan) so I will be checking the thread every now and again (in between looking at art and napping on the desk).

PM me if you are interested in looking at the art auctions too, and I can introduce you to them as my friend...

Is art auction a euphemism? Is this expensive art or normal person art? Why Detroit? I have so many (three) questions.

The art world has auctions, just like EBAY has auctions, and there are house auctions, etc. This weekend one is simply being run by an international art auction house that is based in Michigan. They are running it out of their flagship gallery there. Their auctions normally have the full spectrum of art - animations (Looney Tunes / Disney), impressionism, cubist, modern - but also art mediums (canvas, wood, mixed media, paper, 3D art, sculptures etc) and usually cover the full price range ($50 - $500,000 and beyond). Art for everyone! I have even seen some Dali, Picasso and Miro pieces at their auctions...

2nd. And I haven't got the hang of the shit-posting. And I know I need to spend more time trying to analyze and question. But it's tricky at this point.

Why shit post at all? That's not the goal. We can have an entire forum set up for shit posting...

Listen to what people are saying. So like here's my thoughts right now:

Why is a new player attack/praising me when I say that I see him watching the forum? Why didn't he want to be watched? Does he think I was saying he was lurking and that people will jump to "lurk = scum"? Does he think "oh no! must praise deflect to Bunny. Look at me...not lurking!!!"

Then he makes posts apologizing about shit-posting and analyzing? This isn't that hard. Think about what people are actually saying and what their goals for saying it are. OF COURSE IT'S TRICKY AT THIS POINT TO SOLVE THE WHOLE GAME!! But we're not trying to do that. We're trying to listen to people's motivations, and get everyone to participate so we can hear them.

I do want to see if there's some consensus on the town-3rd party alliance plan. Then I'm sure our comrades in the Neb can make arrangements in the virus QT for some sort of handshake agreement. This plan requires a lot of trust from the 3rd party that town won't just use the free anti-virus killer on them.

Mainly that no one has read the game setup deeply and that we'll pitter away a day or two, lynch some newbies and lurkers until a miracle stroke of luck happens and the strong core that remains lead us to town victory.

Ya know, the usual way it always goes.

The last time I played it *did* take a Herculean effort by xorxes to break everyone away from the mold, and was almost lynched because of it. So, my thoughts are just we start querying individuals on it. After all we don't need everyone to agree - just Morpheus and Trinity.

Hi all. I still stand by my ##vote emc. He should not be allowed to repeatedly ruin the games without penalty. It's not fun.
