VOTE COUNT 1.2

summit_fever (2) — e.m.c^42, bozotheclown
e.m.c^42 (2) — summit_fever, Minster of Silly Walks
bozotheclown (2) — Jamiet99uk, Hamilton Brian
Jamiet99uk (2) — Vecna
Durga (1) — flash2015

No one is set to be eliminated. Durga must cast a valid vote. Day 1 ends in less than 8.5 hours.

"Blackmail!" Mrs. Peacock exclaimed, "Why I've never heard such a ridiculous thing in my life. There's nothing I could be blackmailed for, I'm a model citizen!"

"Oh, come off it," Miss Scarlett, "We all know what this is about. We're all being extorted! And why else would we be here except to put an end to it? I bet one of us here tonight in this weird old mansion is the blackmailer. And if you're not being blackmailed, Peacock, maybe you're the one behind all this!"

The assembled guests murmur angrily. Yeah, maybe she is...

Why does this make you think Bozo is scum? Do you have any reads on other players?
Do I have any particular reads? No, and it probably exposes me for the neophyte that I currently am at this. I feel like the more experienced players are pretty good at detecting certain nuances and phrases. For me this vote is more based on timing and the suggestion that "this isn't enough to move off the Summit wagon" without much further clarification. It's as though they're just using Summit's name to build momentum without justification.

@Minister,

You switched your vote from Jamie to e.m. based on posting timelines. Why would that be a standout reason for you?

I'm not asking to kick up a hornet's nest. I really want to know for information's sake.

Apparently Vecna's vote is very powerful.

I am just as much of a newbie, but it appears to me that posting a couple of lines in the beginning and disappearing for the rest of the day like EMC did isn't the normal behavior, and I don't have any better reasons against anyone.

Vecna, you and Flash look a lot more townie than not, in that order of plausibility.

Summit wagon seems to have started as a reaction to a single joke, and for me lacks any good reason for existing whatsoever; otherwise, he seems to be thoroughly townie, too.

Durga came up with a plausible excuse for not posting and otherwise leans into town.

Vecna vs. Jamiet is mostly based on meta, so it is difficult for me to make any conclusions about. I think I emphasized sufficiently that my vote on Jamiet was pretty much as random as it could be.

Bozo causes some suspicion, EMC appears a better target for now. If the vote remains indecisive in the next six or so hours, I will switch my vote to Bozo, just to check someone and get a starting point for further assumptions.

My reads for now are Jamiet/Bozo/EMC, and probably not both of the former as busing on D1 seems counterproductive for mafia (though that, of course, goes into WIFOM again).

##vote Jamiet

I don't like that push on Bozo. It doesn't feel right to me. I don't think Bozo is sus the case doesn't make much sense.

Like this game is vanilla... Why should bozo be discussing mechanics?

I was going to multi-quote but realized I would have killed the formatting of the post so I'll try to follow your ideas. I also appreciate the thinking you're displaying throughout this.

That assessment of Vecna and Flash appearing "townie." That's interesting because in their writing I can pull out anything that sways me one way or the other.

I do think it's a hard sell to vote to lynch someone based on a "joke." Maybe that was an inside thing?

As much as I am on the Bozo wagon, I'll continue to listen for the read on EMC.

Bozo usually discusses mechanics.

I am aware there is an element of No True Scotsman to this argument.

However, did you not notice that the mechanics comment was not the only thing I drew attention to?

Also, this suggests that you don't think I'm *wrong* about Bozo's alignment. In fact you think I'm deliberately trying to get Bozo mislynched because I am scum. Yes? That is what you think?

The rest of it was extremely specificly nit-picky. Bozo was contributing just before and engaging summit and Flash iirc. Your case didn't seem accurate to me.

Good question; in Durga’s posts I don’t think I've seen anything that’s been necessarily revelatory. I’d like to know more of the thinking too. And that’s a change of a vote, yeah?

Indeed anything can be read both ways, but they cause a lot less suspicion from me than EMC or Bozo and if I got into any depth there, this would only serve to obscure the message as I would have three times more reads than I should.

There isn't much of a read on him. These are all his messages, less than even GM's:
http://mafia.peterlund.se/e/web/msgs?g= ... r=e.m.c^42
Summary: "Hi flash hi MOSW hi Hamilton vote summit", I believe I didn't miss anything important there.

Eh, what if it's a Vecna/Jamiet scum team and Vecna is just trying to protect the latter after faux fighting or w/e they were doing
