I didn't even have a choice about that.

Yeah, I mean claiming in the wrong PR group, although it was the obvious choice. worcej was a definite town for me, and Bismarck because of interactions with macca and Donny as well.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 9:43 pmChaqa claimed PR before I subbed in.

Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
So, the scumteam certainly played badly. If we had played a near perfect game a scum win is possible in this setup. However, town could win this setup without playing anything like perfectly.
Sorry Squigs, and it sounds like you had a rough weekend too, but this turned out to be a quite unbalanced town-sided setup. It was just way too open to a massclaim, and massclaims can break games.

Indeed. And outing he was with bozo as well.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 9:43 pmIt also says something about Brainbombs usual townplay, that he outs my crumbs as the scout master, allowing his teammate Donny to realize what has happened and suicide, and we still all go "meh, he couldve done that as town all the same".Hellenic Riot wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 9:41 pmI called brain being scum the second he sat there and didn't try and stop his mega-strong townread Bozo from being lynched at EoD1, so that was nice. I think Jamie played better than Chaqa, but Chaqa's EoD1 was likewise awful (though Jamie claiming to have saved me was extremely susp too, I spent a lot of time needling that in our buddychat)... But man, that last second flip to macca pretty much destroyed the scumteam.

I....wow.
Terribly unfortunate that the newer scum players just crumbled like that, and that Chaqa subbed out. Victory for scum was plausible but would've required different claims and extensive bussing, my condolences.

Brainbomb will almost always reveal any secret information he is in possession of. He just gets excited and can't contain himself and spills his kool-aid down the front of his sweater and blurts out everything he knows.xorxes wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 9:47 pmIndeed. When he is town, he usually lessens the damaging impact of this, by also claiming a whole lot of false information.
Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
Idk if scum was thinking at all then Bozo could have been mislynched d1, and there was no reason for Donny and Flash to just shit the bed. Sure it was a town sided set up, but that was truly the worst scum team performance ever.
Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
I don't know, even after three scum deaths in a row I felt there was a chance town would lose. We had no more scans left, so HR was the last clear. And there were a few people that would have been lynched before brain.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 9:47 pmSo, the scumteam certainly played badly. Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
Oh, I'm not sure you did that much.
I was getting ready to push you to become a mislynch, as you could probably tell. But then the second part of the massclaim rendered that impossible - further illustrating how the setup was breakable by massclaiming.

Yes, town would have lynched me if Brain had not scumslipped. And then Worcej and Bismarck would both be clears.xorxes wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 9:51 pmI don't know, even after three scum deaths in a row I felt there was a chance town would lose. Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
I agree, this game was certainly broken by the massclaim, it wasn't just poor scum performance.

Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
I feel like it's almost certain we would have won because Jamie was pretty much guaranteed to be first FAE on the block, and after that we'd have had 4 ML's unless brain got two double-kills in (worcej & EMC was a guaranteed one, so not impossible). I find it very hard to believe that out of the remaining 8 VT claims, one of which (me) would have been clear, that brain would have been able to avoid 5 lynches in a row.

Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
But yes, brain hardtownreading Bozo D1 trapped him into not being able to vote Bozo and save macca at the end; and flash and Donny both abjectly failed to swing it either; with Chaqa's late unjustified switch to Bozo really just adding the cherry on the top.
Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
Anyone with any experience in Macca's position would have tied it and justified it as not wanting to be mislynched. So yeah, pretty unfortunateHellenic Riot wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 10:00 pmBut yes, brain hardtownreading Bozo D1 trapped him into not being able to vote Bozo and save macca at the end; and flash and Donny both abjectly failed to swing it either; with Chaqa's late unjustified switch to Bozo really just adding the cherry on the top.

Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
But even on the flipside; if damo and I hadn't made the last minute switch to macca D1, and Bozo had got lynched instead... brain would have looked awful for letting his townread die, Chaqa's last second switch would have been very bad - and if either Chaqa or macca had then been lynched later then the other would have been an extremely obvious next target, and Donny and flash wouldn't have looked any better either. I think the whole scumteam was really undone by their D1 play no matter what the lynch outcome had been, and the massclaim probably played a strong part in that.

Re: Mafia 56: Scout Camp
Yeah I guess a tie could have salvaged the situation for scum, but if the only way you get a good result from day one is via tying the vote then you're already in one hell of a cul de sac.Durga wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 10:03 pmAnyone with any experience in Macca's position would have tied it and justified it as not wanting to be mislynched.
