ACAB
This is a pretty provocative political statement, but I am quoting this article in the hopes that you will read it and understand why people say "All Cops Are Bastards"

And before anyone says it, there are no Blue Lives. There are Blue Jobs. You can quit being a cop is you like, you can't quit being Black.

Re: ACAB
I dare say there's some truth in it. All professions with strong unions tend to stray into prioritising protecting themselves regardless of fault, and protecting the union above all. Thank God we had Thatcher to rein the worst of them in. But frankly it seems like yet another attempt to seek out views that happen to back your own, and considering how dubious a lot of your links have been lately I'm not going to give it much weight.
Re: ACAB
This one actually goes further than my own. But also talks from experience, and asks us to imagine a better world. Very encouraging!

Re: ACAB
I won't say they all are, but I've seen them protect their own when they see police officers committing crimes instead of their duty.

Here is another discussion of police behaviour from a 'good cop' https://twitter.com/mobinfiltrator/stat ... 23872?s=19

Re: ACAB
It can be helpful to try to see this from the cop's point of view to empathize with them. This video did soften my opinion a little on them.
