Re: Infinity War sucks
Loki will be back in the next movie without explanation, don't worry about it.
Re: Infinity War sucks
Ah good so a long winded fanboy character clusterfuck where the creators are unwilling to actually kill any of the bloat they force you to geek out over. Low stakes, with a facade that theres actually any real mortality.
Re: Infinity War sucks
Marvel has the opposite problem of the xmen movie canon. Like Logan is probably the most savage, real, empathtic bomb ass fucking movie about a super hero. Its like xavier was already killed. Fuck it were gonna bring him back, kill him again, and once and for put a period at the end of a sentence about a very long lasting choatic character we all lovex
Re: Infinity War sucks
How can.a person really enjoy watching the same facade over and over where theres no palpable sense of loss whatsoever.

Re: Infinity War sucks
I watched a 12:15 am showing with a group of friends and was already incredibly exhausted. This film isn’t particularly great, but I think its low points are separate from what you think they are.
Without spoiling anything, there were 3 or 4 times when I dozed off because I was tired, and when I looked back up, the exact same thing was still happening.
There were jokes about calling itself the “most ambitious crossover event in movie history” but it very much is quite ambitious, to a degree I couldn’t really tell until I watched it, even though you already have an idea of the scope. The problem is ambitious doesn’t automatically mean good.

I actually agree with you 100% brainbomb. There is no sense of risk in any of these movies. It's the same problem comic books have. No sense of risk or loss. Death is cheap.
Re: Infinity War sucks
If Marvel movies were real basically the loss of buildings is greater than civilians. Every movie has buildings getting destroyed. The avengers want you to think of loss in terms of arbitrary transient things like businesses, and engineering falling victim to bad guys who always just wanna ruin cities. The bad guys never seem to be wise enough to do much other than that.
Buildings can like... be rebuilt.

Brain, I sorta kinda get what you mean. But I don't agree. No, there is no 'real' sense of loss when SuperPerson dies, and the death doesn't 'catch.' But THIS is the nature of the hero-genre. No one has to like it. But to complain about it seems odd to me. It is like saying, "I hate fast and furious XXXIX. There are just so many CARS!" Or "I hate it in a Romantic Comedy where it always has a HAPPY ending, and people find LOVE." No, it's not realistic. But it IS what the genre simply is.

Re: Infinity War sucks
They should be brave and actually kill people, and add emotional backing to it. Instead of just killing everyone, which is the same as killing a background character. It really has no effect on anyone. They made a big mistake here by making us tone-death to people dying. They should of stalled this and actually had people die, and let new heroes go into a new universe or something like that. To increase the longevity.
