We have EMC, TMOSW, Squigs and Goldfinger as mutual neighbours. Not sure yet who the final player is. Which would you like to hit together, and how do you propose we divide the spoils?

Nobody suggested a Lepanto. Blue Water Lepanto requires very different moves. If you're Austria, move Triest to Adriatic in your first move to appease Goldfinger. And maybe research the moveset.. Otherwise, Goldie will be quite irate.

To my knowledge, both TMOSW and EMC are impersonating England, which is hardly an immediate neighbor for Austria; also, there were more than seven people writing in this thread already; one of the ideas was that even somebody not giving out orders may drop by and impersonate a country.

As I have said in interest thread I was going for letting other people do my negotiations while I just join the game. But the fact that the one to claim Russia was Hosuke makes my blood boil, down the fake czar!

What is very unusual is your plan to keep the unstable Austro-Hungarian empire full of different cultures stuck with duct tape. I believe the strategic border region in Galicia is hard to keep as a DMZ in both the long and short term.

Your insistance on using 1-2 units to move to Galicia every turn is why you frequently do poorly with Austria and Russia. Even in Gunboat neither power should go there in Autumn 1901. Here, we play press. In high-level press games it's easy to keep Gal DMZ, by talking to each other.

In this game, it's even easier. Because there will be swift retribution if you don't.

In normal games, you have to think about it a bit more:

-What does Austria gain from DMZ stabbing in Gal? A 50-50 shot at a 1-centre stab, a mortal enemy, and a backline that's completely exposed to Italy. Good players don't make this move unless they are certain Turkey opens to Armenia.

-What does Russia gain from DMZ stabbing Gal? Also a 50-50 shot at a 1-centre stab, a mortal enemy, and a certain bounce in Sweden. Any half-decent Germany player would. Good players would never make this move unless they were certain Italy attacks as well.

Having heard nothing from the real Turkey or Russia, I will continue on with my plans for the blue water with Austria.

Which country I'm mainly negotiating as should be clear lol

Well Austria, I'll be following the plan then, and kicking my army over to Piedmont and up to Venice while moving out to Ionian. I think the Blue Water is an excellent way to get Austria's fleet involved quickly in events out to the East.

Honestly, I didn't quite understand the reasoning behind Blue Water; you can't move the fleet into Ionian because it is needed for Italian convoy, and a move to Albania provides better pressure onto the Balkans.
