I think that the argument that one of the damo voters may be scum is interesting. But I'm going to ##vote Neph because that was Chaqa's first vote, and Chaqa's first vote last game proved to be accurate. Also because of the end vote, and because there's not much more to go on at this point.

That's not what a litmus test is, or at leats that's a very specialized meaning. It's a test for acidity or alkalinity using litmus. You are the litmus paper and I'm using you to test the scummicity or townicity of (in this case) Neph.

OK, just caught up. In Tom vs kgray, kgray is the clear winner. She seems to be in her town range. I think she was scum only once and if I remember correctly she would avoid having an opinion on things.

Just one thing: I was not townreading damo last game, I was mostly ignoring him, which I tend to do in the early game because I give him the benefit of the doubt. I had him as my third choice for scum when I was killed, and that was completely Vecna's fault.

I don't think I have enough to make a read on him for now, but he did vote for me last game as scum, so I'm wary now.

I have never been scum in forum mafia.

And fine, but I'm pretty sure you said you have a "soft spot" for him, and now you're saying you give him the benefit of the doubt. I think damo would notice that and therefore scum!damo wouldn't try to get you mislynched D1. The argument that he went in reverse alphabetical order specifically to target you when bozo (who is also very good as town) would be first if he went in normal alphabetical order just doesn't hold up, imo.

Yeah I just saw your follow up posts about why you think damo could be scum. I'm not seeing the connection between damo and Neph though.

Why? I doubt he thinks anyone will follow him onto xorxes based on that reasoning, and he's basically forcing himself to change his vote when xorxes starts posting. This would be a really terrible way to try to get a xorxes wagon going.

She is also behaving identically to last game. We don't know how she behaves as scum, but we do know how she behaves as town, which is more than we knew last time. So while there are still valid reasons for a policy lynch, they are slightly weaker than last game's.

Last game you had a conversation with her on N3 where it became obvious that she thought she had to hide the fact that she was town. So if she's behaving similarly to last game, it makes me think she's hiding her alignment again.

Kgray I will hire you as my spokesperson, you say the things I think in such a better way.

She played that way last game and it worked pretty badly. I expect her at least to try to play differently this time, but she started the same, so I thought it's either a lost cause or she is using the same tactic to live longer. But at least she is engaging more.

Today we don't have to worry about it if my reading of the roles is right, but tomorrow onward the mafia could have a vote doubling ability - so we need to make sure our wagons are not too close or else one mafia member could switch and do a 3 vote swing.

Your role, if it is as you claim, is pretty awful. If town lynches someone D1 it's because they were found to be the scummiest. If then someone shows up D2 saying they are the exact same role, but the D1 flip was hidden, there's very little reason not to lynch them again. So your only chance of not being lynched D2 is either keep quiet and do your own thing, or come clean and somehow convince town that they made a mistake on D1. You (with help from Chaqa to be sure) did neither of those things. Nothing that you did has convinced me that we made a mistake with Donny. I said from the start that I was willing to consider lynching someone else, but instead of helping me with that you started questioning my motives for wanting to lynch you, and a good chunk of the day was wasted on that pointless discussion.

No, I'm town. I admit I have not paid a lot of attention to damo. I have a soft spot for him and tend to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The "tunnel" is because I strongly believe Donny was scum. Do you no longer believe that? I still see no better explanation for the secretary thing.

As for emc, the way he argued with me I found way more scummy than towny. He was apparently trying to personify teacon so as to make our "debate" look TvT. I also didn't like how he tried to throw rivera's "motivation" schtick at me. All in all, he did not convince me.
