This is exactly the kind of forum where a rally in support of white racists could be safely discussed.

After all, not that long ago, I was heavily punished for suggesting that people should stand up to Nazis, using force if necessary.

If the site wants to be a safe space for Nazis, it logically follows that it would be a safe space for white supremacists more generally.

Personally I think that silencing Leon was the correct decision, and I support it, by the way.

Bo, it's because Croak and Dagger has a lot of support for his vile views. As you've no doubt notice, white supremacism is a very very widespread view in the US. Indeed, in a lot of places, Croak and Dagger would have a much easier time getting by in society than someone like Jamiet who stands up for what's right.

Obviously it is "Okay to be white" as well as any other skin colour. The colour of the skin is however the most irrelevant thing, as long as the person is not an idiot. I note that in this thread there seems to be a lot of white idiots around and far less idiots of other skin colours. Reading this thread it certainly seems like white is not superior in any way at all, rather the opposite.

For academic reasons, it would be interesting to explore how this thread _might_ pan out if the moderator team were conservatives or non-Westerners. The truth of the matter is that most people around the world, in most countries, subscribe to nationalistic if not racial tribalism. It's only in the West that the opposite is even thrashed about. I've had the joy to live in two specifically racialist countries: Japan and South Korea, the latter being a bit more explicit in the contempt it holds toward other nations.

I wonder if in the West it is even possible to hold a nuanced view of race, nation, state, rights, and tribalism. Because the truth isn't the purview of the left. Or the right. To everyone asserting that America is a white supremacist place, or that People of Colour are absurdly persecuted and are slumped because of it, I'd caution you to read/listen/watch the arguments/discussions of conservative People of Colour and not their sound bytes dissected by progressives or members of your team.

It's fine not to do that. Few, to no one ever investigates the other side from the perspective of the other side. And most that do do so to debunk it, slander its members, or ascribe motive that may or may not be true. There is a confluence of people moving from one side to the other and some back and forth because of such research.

And for the record, he didnt say he supported it, the person in question accused him of it. Being against/bad vs blacks (since that is what he was banned for i guess) does not mean he is a 'white-supremacist' cuz he simply cant be such, since he isnt even white (by his own admissions for many years). He can be a 'hater' of a certain race, but that dont equate, specifically in this case, to being a 'white-supremacist'

It seems unfair to post caricatures of what a silenced person said while he cannot respond. I don't exactly remember what he said (or what his name was at this point) but I'm pretty sure he did not suggest burning books in the name of white supremacy.

I do not however apologize for making a stand against racism personally. I will not apologize for being passionate about the oppression of minorities or the implications of racism. In my impassioned responses and fevered replies I lost track of my place in this community and the expectations you all have of me. Actually, they kind of are. I see no justification for giving a pass for either, frankly. Racism in inherently supremacist. At this point, it needs to be squashed like a bug.

You'll never quash racism. It's the norm. In fact, as long as you use the old and/or most accepted definition, most identarian movements, let alone progressive bullet point talking points as well as main argument thrusts, aka, racism equals prejudice plus power, is itself racist, because it insures that no one but a single race can be racist.

So, it would be wonderful if we could be honest. Throw away the sleight of hands and talk. Removing the ability of a group to talk about racism is ridiculous.
