You know, if anyone had actually told me that, I probably would not have been tunneling brainbomb all this timeJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 1:54 pmYes Vecna but the thing is, Brainbomb was actually being very clever here, because "unable to reach" is not the correct wording. Speaking as someone who also got redirected to Foodcoats N1, I can confirm that the actual wording was this:Vecna wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 1:10 pmYeah see, I remembered correctly. It was in brainbombs third post of the day, way before he started questioning emc.
The fact Fox actually went along with the game and shooting the wrong answer to confuse EMC fits with his reply there. Not saying he couldnt fake that as scum, but that particular tidbit actually makes it more likely to me he is town?
I dno, I should refrain from interfering with this further probably because my bias reallys -wants- him to be town here
"You attempt to [REDACTED][REDACTED] Foodcoats but fail to do so because you cannot find him..."
The wording "unable to reach" is not quite what the real result said. Brainbomb cleverly provided for different options in this post:
"Unreachable" or "unable to reach" or anything involving the word "reach" was not the correct wording.

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Theres only 4 people in there no?
Jamiet/Chaqa/Xorxes/foodcoats?
when was the last one invited anyway? I dont remember there being any mention of it D5 and i was under the impression it was 1 invite / day
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Never noticed the difference between unable to reach and unable to find (that is what it is then, yes?) untill it was just brought up now.
My interpretation of events was that brainbomb just out and open claimed his result, then went on to question EMC with one of the options presented that he had mentioned earlier. Pretending to be all towny and inquisitive.

I think it would work just fine as a scum role.
They need a way to gather information of what role town has.
Like I said before, your role is specifically designed to dodge the lightning shit and still be able to invite for that day/night cycle.
And as you have demonstrated here, skillful use of the role allows you to know exactly what is going on in this game and have quite the influence on the night results. Without knowing jamiet and xorxes role and alignment its not quite certain to me how big the overall impact has been on the game as a whole, but it probably couldve been even bigger with other roles in there.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
A more explicitely town use of the role wouldve been to never claim it and have everyone's role hidden for only your members to see. Let people freely chose their night actions (unless absolutely needed to coordinate to not overlap - but then why is Neph not in there?) and have them report the results to the QT so the QT knows the results without the game at large being aware of the roles of the people in there.

EMC was unable to get many good results due to the LR on N1 and the way all the actions hit on N2. :/Vecna wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 3:01 pmI think it would work just fine as a scum role.

This was my plan originally, but because EMC was my first recruit, I didn't completely trust anyone from the get-go. C'est la vie.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 3:05 pmA more explicitely town use of the role wouldve been to never claim it and have everyone's role hidden for only your members to see. Also jamiet, I mightve been very vocal - but why did you not do the deductions yourself?
Town tracker + town watcher + town lie detector + town motion detector + town? xorxes + 3-4 town protectives?
I promised to stop the mechanical stuff, but this is so overwhelmingly crazy. Why do I need to do the yelling and why is not anyone else noticing that something just does not add up?

Hey, im expecting one hell of an explanation tomorrow of how the hood at large is viewing this gamestate. And how they consolidated all the flips with what Jamiet and Xorxes are claiming.Chaqa wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 3:06 pmEMC was unable to get many good results due to the LR on N1 and the way all the actions hit on N2. :/Vecna wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 3:01 pmI think it would work just fine as a scum role.

Well, I'll try to explain my thoughts and everything I know as best I can. There's a lot.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Both Fox and Neph so far have done weird reaction tests, making a big show of asking people for input and never doing anything relevant with it afterwards
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
the most hilarious part of this whole situation is that Tem was actually lie detectoring squigs' post about him being town.
In hindsight, voting no lynch -was- the best possible outcome, seeing how Tem never popped back in.

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
if the answer is no, that would be extremely strong evidence to suggest that a jailkeeper would not be on the same team as that lie detector that can get results during the day.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
it normally doesnt kill commuted targets, and webdip usually counts jailed by jailkeeper as commuted (evidenced by N1 id assume)

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Scum would have realized he was telling the truth and about to get a copscan on Squigs. So unless they were guaranteed to lynch squigs and have him suicide on Tem i dont think anything really changed.
Its very possible, its quite likely, but its not definitive in my mind.
