M55: The Last Party - Game Thread

While at the same time my role was designed in such way that it DID get "screwed over" by the lightning rod.

Also to screw over town with the given of how many visiting roles we have compared to scum. Also to apparently end up being recruited by the 3p if ever visited by it.

Mine has been specifically screwed TWICE by the jailor. The jailor/LR combo screwed me big, but it was actually a bit clever. Mine is a bit OP if allowed to operate freely N1. Was unfortunate I didn't get to go N3.

I still don't get how town has an alignment cop AND an any phase better than alignment cop.

Like, why didn't Sarah claim "Everyone please post 'I am Town'" day 1? We could have WON by day X with so much protective firepower for her.

Well, the obvious answer to that is she is clueless and the knowledge of this much protective power was completely unknown.

Doing that approach likely wouldve yielded a very early death if it were in fact a town lie detector.

So you're suggesting the only reason this game is still going despite Temasek telling the truth and worcej putting a role this OP in the game with protective roles for literal days is that Town was so unlucky that the only player incompetent enough to not use it got it? Cool story, bro.

Ok I'll try. I've been sober for 51 days now so you'd think that would improve my mental focus but apparently not. Turns out the mental focus I have when I'm a borderline alcoholic is me on my maximum setting.

@Vecna I knew my initial read there was misrepresentative once I'd typed it out but I wanted to see what reactions I got anyway.

I think you may be right about Squigs/Tem but from my perspective that basically must mean bozo is scum or someone else is playing a really fantastic scum game. I guess it could well be Bunny? I really really don't think it's anyone in Chaqa's QT. Mechanically even it seems Chaqa and xorxes would be town... that will eventually be shown when xorxes reveals.

Not sure though. Maybe Tem panicked. They don't necessarily have a day chat effect. So maybe Tem panicked and Squigs is selling him downriver so that we think "they can't be scum together!" Last ditch effort to save.

Same reason damo is suddenly waaaaaay more analytical than he has been the entire game. Wants to get credit from Tem lynch.

Regular life too. There's some underlying assumptions that other people have in conversations that I don't (and vice versa). But here it is particularly exacerbated. I'm not sure why.

offtopic: Someone in my life is spending this quarantine time in a clinic to beat alcohol addiction. Their entire personality is coming back, and its almost like its a different, sharper, smarter person. The ability to have sharp and coherant arguments, communicated clearly....its so weird if that suddenly appears in a person you have never seen doing such before.

The difference is really very noticeable. They werent borderline to begin with though. It was frightening at times

Why would I claim such a risky role if I were scum, considering my fakeclaims as both reaver prime and gladiator were both VTs... I play safe as scum, don't I, why would I claim a role that would be "broken"?

Idk about Sarah and the D1 Tracker thing though. Maybe Sarah thought Donny was scum and just used the power on him but just... uhh... didn't even suggest he was town? Consider it, why else was I even inclined to believe he was town in my third post when past games had me just go along with the general flow?

I havent drank beer in what feels like months

My overall alcohol take has definately increased, and its also mainly due to wine and a little bit of shit im mixing with the harder stuff

Who are your top 3 scum reads?

Temasek, Bunny and... at this point someone that is "clear" obviously can't be, so either Vecna or damo probably. I feel like Vecnas claim and subsequent info makes him town, but we have seen that Vecna is capable of some outside the box plays so idk. The scan on damo should make him clear, but mafia likely has some way to mess with investigatives given the number of town investigatives.

I think Vecna did use that Veteran power on N2, the flavor was pretty conclusive in that respect. What I'm not at all convinced of is that this power was not just one item for a scum JOAT, which would fit perfectly with the abundance of crumbs Vecna left D1, so he could finally claim whichever of his JOAT abilities seemed more convenient later. A two-shot Veteran is kind of a weird role.
