My role is town lie detector, someone who could take a statement from the thread every in-game day, send it to the GM, and see whether it's the truth from the player's perspective. Can see why my slot is being scumread but oh well.

Willing to take suggestions for what to do for this phase. Sarah didn't use the power for two days and the only thing I knew when stepping in was that Donny Dude was the tracker. I then proceed to misread the role so I thought rdr was town.

This must be a fakeclaim, no? Or the scum information gathering role?

This role is way too powerful to exist for town in any meaningful game. It is by definition a way stronger cop since it can create ABSOLUTE innocents or guilties that cannot be fucked with in any way. Get people to state their alignment, check it, boom. And thats the absolute worst possible use you could come up with.

If you get people to make certain statements, it can even clear or guilty multiple people at once

Even though none of those slots have done anything really worthy of townreads. Bunny also feels a bit calmer and more collected than normal, but that could very well be a product of replacing in at a late stage.

I'm still learning too...every game I learn a bit. I try a bit differently, and get a bit better at listening and thinking and communicating with this community.

Can you share your results so far?

Day 1: Sarah actually gets a fairly good result and manages to find out Don's tracker claim is real

Day 2/3: Power not used by Sarah.

Day 4: i went for some statement not made by rdr because I misread the role, but the result made me think rdr was town.

Day 5: not used yet, suggestions would be really appreciated.

She never said anything about donny actually being the tracker. Do the results only come at night if submitted during the day?

Note that it's from player's perspective. So if, say, A says B, C, D and E are scum and the result might say it's truth from A's perspective or lie from A's perspective. The result wouldn't directly confirm whether those 4 are the scum team...

Personally I think this role might be well-suited to 1) track claims and 2) like a cop, see whether someone is in the scumteam or not [if we pick the right message of course]

Then again, I've played 5 or 6 games and never won so I'm gonna take a suggestion that is supported by quite a few people.

Also imagine if the ammount of work the GM's would actually have to go factcheck everything on certain statements.

They would need to go read _ALL_ my posts to verify

Well now killing Tem seems like a bad idea except that I don't really believe his claim. Not sure if it is worth killing him though in case his claim is true and he can act as yet another town cop (this time immune to godfather/lawyer shenanigans it seems). Especially since we can just scan him tonight

Yeah Tems claimed role is definitely OP, since (assuming Neph is town) Janitor Neph can save Tem and Jamie can use whatever protective to save Neph, making Tem unkillable for 2 or 3 more days guaranteed (especially since mafia don't seem to have a RB). Tem getting janitored im guessing doesn't stop him from using his ability in the day.

Think about it. He comes with this shitty claim because he's afraid of being blown up by squigs. No other reason to fakeclaim something that dodgy this early. Unless you know squigs be telling the truth and youre at risk of being blown up.
