It's also possible mafia isn't using a Janitor and there is some sort of role that steals a power. I think we had something like that in one of the games we played a long time ago. Like a Mutation or Chameleon or Body Snatcher or something?

A combined power thief/day janitor seems way overpowered for any alignment.

Does this indicate Fox is scum as he knew maf didn't have these powers?

Is EMC your absolute top scum read?

I scumread EMC, Neph, Bozo, and I expect a couple of the lurkers are scum too.

I think of my scumreads, EMC is the most informative.

I was going to get sarcastic about "only vote your top scum read" as a way to illustrate what I see as a logical fallacy of pursuing scum candidates serially. I'll just say it this way: we have to explore multiple paths simultaneously and do things that create information. Neph is not really a top scum read--I don't have much in the way to strong scumreads right now--but I think voting him right now maybe leads to interesting information.

Can you remind me your case on Vecna? I assume your case on Squigs is based on Fox?

I think it's highly unlikely that rivera would have targeted Sarah at any point, so Tem's defense of rivera doesn't mean anything.

At first I thought Temasek and damo defending rdrivera did not mean anything with rdrivera flipping 3P, but then I realized that if they are scum, they would have probably thought rdrivera was town and that you were mistaken, so they might town read him to look better when rdrivera flipped town. It likely became more apparent to them later that rdrivera was 3P.

Is your role distinct enough from Brain to not make us want to get into a CC thing here?

I do not have the same role that Brain is claiming, that's for sure. However, if his claim is true, then town does have two docsaves, since my protective ability is effectively a docsave. One detail is that, apparently, I do get told if my target is home, but I don't get told whether or not I saved them from a kill.

That is, on N1 I got told that Foodcoats was not at home. On N2 I was told that I *successfully* found Brainbomb - but I get no feedback on whether or not he required my save.

When I say I have "another ability", it is something with an effect that is not protective in nature.

Does everyone with access to Chaqa's QT agree that this still makes sense, and that Jamie didn't protect anyone likely to be recruited by rdrivera?

OK, started ISOing Damo. Day 1--the first day:

Managed to correctly identify EMC as 3P. That's impressive. AND Chaq. Also impressive.

Called Brain, Xorx, Bozo, rdr town

Then makes a lot of jokes, but is paying attention enough to catch Jamie doctoring quotes.

Thinks Sarah is town. Can't tell with Donny. Doesn't like Neph's vote on Marche. Eventually makes more jokes, but votes Donny.

Partly because of Sarah, partly because I think Temasek said he thought rdrivera was town because he knew rdrivera was not mafia.

Hmm...that's something I chalk up to a more experienced player. No offense to Temasek, but I have never noticed him anticipating people's reactions like that. I think after all his troubles not getting lynched as town, he's just trying to figure out how to not get lynched (as town!Tem or scum!Tem). I don't see him trying anything next level like that.

Votes EMC after correctly identifying him as 3P. Why is he hunting 3P? I dunno, but it's better than voting on town.

Spends a lot of posts discussing the Donny/EMC/Chaq sex/murder/roleplay triangle. I agree it's creepy. It's not how I'm trying to hunt, but it does seem he's honestly trying to figure out a strange game.

First post with his "dodgy list" has "Vecna Neph Bozo Flash Demon"

So far he's 1/2 confirmed which isn't bad. In addition it seems Vecna and Neph were on everyone's list. So what's my problem with this post? He just says it. He had said things like Jamie is town and Foodc before hand, but this just comes out of nowhere.

Shit, I hate trying to think like other people. Is this how damo usually works? I think it was how he played in M54. At least in the early game.

Then pushes Vecna hard. In addition to the post flagged above addressing Chaq to "Join me on Vecna and then switch to Bozo". this actually doesn't look so bad in context as they both agreed on most of the "scummy" lists. He then explains his Vecna read more as "setting up Donny". It's a bit weak, but I get damo's point about taking something a noob says and then lynching them for it.

I didn't understand his move back to EMC. That's the only part of the day where the progression doesn't seem natural.

Overall the post flagged by Nephhys doesn't make me nervous; it makes some sense in context.

The flip back to EMC is the part of Day 2 that is strangest. Otherwise seems damo-esque. So now on to....
