Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
I think it's highly unlikely that rivera would have targeted Sarah at any point, so Tem's defense of rivera doesn't mean anything.

Question:
If I were a smart lead inquisitor, I’d be trying to kill people who are likely to be saved. This is Xorxes. And as Xorxes was in jail, AND we suspect we were short a kill N2, then is Xorxes turned too?
I’m on phone, so can’t look up but who else was saved on N2? Do we know? Have they found Christ?

@Neph
Is Jailor classified as a roleblocking type role?

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
So technically foodcoats was saved by a roleblocker, but not strictly because of the roleblocking action...
Assuming rivera didn't holster, but I can't see any reason why he would do that.

So food is OK but what about rdr's original target?
Is LR a roleblocker? If so that little problem also goes away.

No, Lightning Rod isn't a form of roleblocker, because the actions still take place, it just redirects them (to itself) - in the same way that a Bus Driver isn't a roleblocker.

I will note his follow-up didn't come until Day 3, so he could be misleading us on that one.foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 12:23 pmIt is considered a roleblock ability and resolves before any other roleblock ability.xorxes wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 12:10 pmI think there can't be two town roleblockers. If you are a roleblocker, any other roleblocker would have to be scum. And you would be town because town roleblocker has priority. Your wording suggests you are classified as a roleblocker. Is that correct?foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 11:28 am
Why would that matter? It seems to me you suggested earlier that this setup isn't balanced by the roles. So what does it matter to you how many X types and Y types there are? What could you learn from that, since you don't think the game is rationally structured?
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Yes, LR is a roleblocker and the action that saved the original target is the roleblocking action (it affected rivera). So I think we're fine there.
But I'm not sure if the *action* that saved LR was a roleblocking action, even if Neph has a roleblocking type ability. He has a protective ability as well, which is the one that saved foodcoats. It's quite confusing.
The number of kills tonight should be informative anyway.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Point is do we need to worry about rdr's original target? I suspect not but we should keep it in the back of our minds.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
That's true. I asked him to clarify D1, but he never responded until I asked again on D3.Chaqa wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 9:13 pmfoodcoats wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 7:01 pmYeah, it happens before any other roleblocking abilities.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 6:08 pm

OK so according to this the original target is OK but there's a doubt against food.xorxes wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 9:17 pmYes, LR is a roleblocker and the action that saved the original target is the roleblocking action (it affected rivera). So I think we're fine there.
