M55: The Last Party - Game Thread

It's not that bizarre given what we know about emc's (original) role.

We don't really "know" anything about his role. What he has told us may be true, mostly true, or completely false. I still find it hard to believe that the game started with two different third party factions.

I believe Demon posted his real role PM and that he is not scum.

I believe he may be a Doctor of one scum variety or another, and may have doctored his PM to some extent.

I think we are being biased towards noisy players and letting the quiet ones slip through. All of this madness is making town jump. But I still believe the simplest explanation is that scum don't want to make waves.

Also true...but RHK removed any concern about summit. There's no dispute of facts. RHK scans as non-town. So summit can be lying or telling the truth about alignment cop (that can be discussed later), but we have an interesting progression in RHK claims and motivations.

@DemonRHK: If you are not town, why did you claim Doctor at all, in the first place, if it wasn't intended to be a CC of Brain's claim?

What were you trying to achieve?

Why lie? I'm a survivor with a doctor attached. My goal is to stay alive till the end of the game. Lying doesn't help town and would just confuse shit later.

Why not remove the obfuscation early. The only danger to your claimed character is a lynch. Wouldn't you want to avoid conflict at all costs?

Because of what is going on right now. If I claim at the very start of the game, I get lynched because who the fuck has ever heard of a third party Doctor?

I claim generic survivor and then I get watched/tracked and get called out as a liar and lynched.

Massclaim is/was gonna happen sooner or later.

Presumably if RHK is telling truth he'd want the game to go on for as long as possible so he can maximise chances of successfully saving someone. This probably also means he'll swing back and forth from helping town or scum based on how game is going lol

Vecna and brain are still my best townreads. Vecna is hunting and doing more than shitposting like I'm used to (maybe it was a meta shift I'm not used to as well) plus he's pushing points well. Brain is SOP brain, shotgunning reads to see what sticks.

Kgrey lost some points on that late counterwagon, but it's in the air since we don't know who the fuck Donny was.

Xorx seemed viably rattled/irked at Donny. I think the idea forewarded he's a 3rd party is possible, unless he and Donny are/were both scum. Just a feeling.

This brings up a fun question, if both you and brain save someone who is targeted for NK does this fulfill your wincon? Or does it not count as your services are not needed (due to your save happening after brain's) lol

In the end, I'm not town. You all have just as little stake in me as I have in you. Frankly, town getting down toward LYLO is better for me and I have motivation to help scum, but was/am banking I'll get lucky once and then woulda been able to self save out to get the second. Plus, tbh, brain being alive kinda hurts my goal.

If brain comes out, hard claims doc, and I come out and go 'wait, I am doc as well. How do you do fellow medical professional?' what is gonna be EVERYONE'S first reaction?

Worcej did explicitly state that there would be "at least one" 3p, so it wouldn't be completely out of the blue... especially, as neither of the claims so far are “active” 3p.

well thats a shame. and again, I apologize for my behavior.
Id encourage everyone to stay feirce and excited. but to also respect worcej. this is a masterpeice setup and there is so much to talk about. It was probably a ton of work to balance and craft. So... Lets not diminish its quality and make his life suck.
