2. No role PMs have been posted in the setup information since it is a close setup. The GM will not confirm anything about role PMs unless an ability from a possible role allows it.

Role 2 sort of... prevents the GM from acting on rule 6.

so in a way, faking role pms, the gm isnt gonna just react and give out free info on what is and what isnt fake?

Hmm...so this would mean that there's a doctor who doesn't care about saving, except for themselves. And cares about not being lynched.

Let's analyze the game design (whatever Jamie wants to call it).

It's pro town (which we need in this chaos) having an extra save each night.
As a character, Demon only cares about not being lynched after he fulfills his roles...

How would scum relate to such a character? It hurts their win condition as it's an extra night save, and if Demon gets cleared somehow, it removes a candidate from lynch pool. But once Demon finishes his mission, scum doesn't want to waste a NK on him either...I don't think. Would also need to use a RB (if they have one). It's expensive for them just to remove a clear...there are other clears.

So this role seems pretty easy as a 3P. Just hard claim day 1. Avoid any lynch ever. Self save the scum kill, and find some other person to save. Am I missing something?



All that said, I'm trying hard to listen to people with this madness, and not get bogged down in mechanics (which are so insane and hidden, that we almost need to ignore them and just listen/talk like this game is supposed to be played).

Listening is a bit hard with so much noise. And jumping in late without all the back knowledge (and I'm definitely not doing much more background reading than I've already done). I hear Brain saying a lot of things that aren't about the game itself. He's upset, that's clear. I didn't see what upset him specifically, but then he comes back and self votes. That's all weird.

I hear Damon attack me for joining and not knowing everything instantly while working. Whatever, he's on edge. But I hear that he's on edge even though he wasn't leading wagon in the doctor claim. He knows he's not town though...that would make someone on edge.

Why is Damon pussyfooting around the issue? Why not address it head on? Is he worried scum will kill him? The character he's claiming is pro-town. I don't really understand claiming doctor, but not clarifying to prevent this chaos. Like, why post it like this:

Yes, I am a Doctor. I was prepping to counter brain but then he posted that specific syntax I realized it matched what I got, and that two identical roles was pointed out as possible. If there are bastard mechanics in play or something else, no clue but there it is.

Anyways, I'll ##unvote to think and listen.

I am a 3rd party Doctor.

'You are the Disgraced Doctor! Your habit of partying too much and leaving patients on a slab has gotten you in hot water with the medical board. During the night, you may ##save a player. If you do, your target is immune to killing actions. Your ability is considered a protective ability and fires after any town or scum protective abilities. You scan as guilty if scanned by a cop-like ability until your victory condition is fulfilled.

You win if you are alive at the end of the game and you have saved two different players. You may win alongside any other faction.'

Some info I have:

- I may save the same target consecutively. This includes myself, meaning that short of a rb I am night immune after I hit my wincon.

- After I pull off the second save, I begin to scan as town.

- Worc wouldn't give any more info when I asked about the whole scum protective ability thing.

If this is true is probably one of the most bizarre roles I have ever seen.

I will re-read Demon on my lunch time, but for now ##vote Demon

I don't see much point in not allowing a copy-paste of a role PM, as it is easy to circumvent with a little paraphrasing, so I don't really care about that.

My issue with this role claim:

You may win alongside any other faction.

Seems to smash hard against the opening flavor that says pretty much that only one faction can survive. My win condition says that I win when the Town faction is the last faction left standing. So I see a contradiction there.

It's not that bizarre given what we know about emc's (original) role.

I believe Demon posted his real role PM and that he is not scum.

I think we are being biased towards noisy players and letting the quiet ones slip through. All of this madness is making town jump. But I still believe the simplest explanation is that scum don't want to make waves.

So, simplified, I'm leaning towards townreading bozo for his improvement but at the same time I feel like that is NAI or even scummy (albeit at a long stretch) as it is mainly just mechs.

Im told paraphrasing role pm is okay.

My role says I am the best at patching anyone up, no matter how serious an injury is. During the night, I may ##save a player. And I prevent any killing actions on that player.

I win with town faction.
