The way worcej informed the LR results suggests yes.
Hmmm. I don't know about this for sure.

Weren't they informed "You could not find your target" or something like that? Not "You could not find foodcoats".

I think you're making a dangerous assumption. I'm not 100% sure town!xorx makes.
No, they were informed that they targeted foodcoats instead of whoever they had intended to target.

That's why worcej had to make a public announcement saying that he would not be replying individually to the bazillion PMs telling him he had made a mistake with their chosen target.
Sorry, there's been a lot of posts, can you link me to where this was said and by who?

@EMC: is this accurate?

Jailor is a roleblocking ability that was definitely in play N1 together with LR. My point was that given that two roleblocking abilities were used, and LR acted first, then LR is likely town. This assumes that LR is indeed typed as roleblocking, as food claims. In his favor he suggested this quite early before it became an issue.
foodcoats said the Lightning Bolt occurs before all other role blocking ability, so I do not think you should assume the Lightning Bolt and Jailer can't be of the same alignment. If you are correct though, there is still the change the Lightning Bolt is scum and the Jailer is town.
You mean if I am *not* correct, right?

But why have a hidden exception to a public rule? Why provide the rule at all if it will have hidden exceptions?
No, I meant if you are correct that the Lightning Bolt and the Jailer can't be the same alignment, there is still the change the Lightning Bolt is scum and the Jailer is town, which should also be accounted for in your statement that the "LR is likely town".

Like I said, it might just be an oversight unless you think one of the Lightning Bolt and Jailer is 3P since we know the JOAT was town.

Hmmm. I think, and this is a really hard decision to reach, we may need to consider lynching Jamiet.

Why would alignment matter?
The rules say that if two roleblocking abilities target each other (which would be the case here), then town goes first, then Mafia, then 3P.
One of the Town JOAT's abilities was "1x Flare Gun (a roleblock action)", so the rule you are referring to about the roleblock resolution may just contain an oversight with regard to 2 roleblocks from the same alignment.
Hmm... That's interesting.

What does a Flare Gun do? What would happen if the Flare Gun was used against the Jailor while the Jailor tried to jail the JOAT?

That gives more support to the idea that Jailor is scum, but takes support from the idea that LR is town.

Do we know for sure Jailing would be a roleblock and not a protection?

##CallGM: what would happen if two simultaneous roleblocks (both town) were attempted on each other through a Flare Gun and some other power?

No because LR acted first, otherwise it would not have "roleblocked" the Jailor, which I suppose is a way of saying "interfered with its intended action", because that's the only roleblocking LR does.

If Jailor had acted first, then LR would not have interfered with Jailor's ability and would not have been put in jail, or if Jailor happened to target food by chance, LR would have been unable to do anything. So Jailor could not have acted before LR.

Didn't food say his RB was special in that it went before all other roleblocks?

Janitor could be classified as a protective role.

He did say that, but how can everyone else know? It would be weird if there is a secret rule that contradicts a public rule, because then we can't even trust the public rules. What are they for?

Wondering if the reason Jamie took so long to code his role to me from our QT code was because he had to chat with his scummates in daychat? Or potentially was thinking the best role to claim.

Honestly, out of all three protective claimants, Jamie's holds up the least, except for, what role exactly could he be if scum?

He crumbed visiting Bozo N1. Who did he crumb visiitng N2?

Hello. Won't be able to read anything for another hour or so, and I definitely won't be able to read enough of the game to play as normal, so while I'm gone:

Who should I sheep and why?
Please @Squigs me for my convenience
@Squigs

Dearest squigs,

Sheep me. For I am a dumb bunny. The two of us are new in this game. Knowing nothing. But together, we can sheep each other. And have a good time. And isn’t that the point of playing together during all this social distancing? Isn’t that why we went out, got blackout drunk, and ended up together on this island?

Sheep me squigs. Sheep me hard. And I’ll sheep you back.

We can catch up on the reading later...shhhhhh....later

-Dumb Bunny
Dargo was scummy as hell and you are just getting a free pass as you subbed in, don't abuse it...
LOL not trying to. Just wanted to see if I could make EMC laugh. I'll be serious again. Squigs' post was just sorta weird...

bozo just posted what he said about visiting brainbomb.

It doesn't seem likely he was trying to protect bozo N1 and brain N2, but I don't know what kind of protection it is, maybe it's like the Jailor that has some additional effect besides protection.

Demon knew that Chaqa was not bus driven with someone N2. Can you think of a way he could have known that if he jailed me N2 instead of visiting Chaqa like he claims?
Logical not lazy xorxes answering my question...
