Can someone explain why? And what Nephs post means? And why we are sure Chaq isn’t 3P with goal of recruiting a lot of people to his nefarious cult? Shouldn’t we talk about lynching Chaq?

What Neph means is that if there is a Lightning Rod and a Watcher, the following would happen if the Lightning Rod activated:

1. Irrespective of his original target, the Watcher is forced to watch the Lightning Rod.

2. Everyone else with a visit action is forced to visit the Lightning Rod.

3. The Watcher witnesses every visit.

4. The Watcher now has a list of every player with a visiting action, unless they happened to hold their visit that turn.

Now, if the LR and Watcher are both scum, that's a huge information gain for scum. Even if they're both town, it's pretty damn powerful.

Why if you believe food is scum you must also believe I'm scum, a short summary

the tl;dr version is:

food is very much a careful player as any alignment, and cost-benefit analysis is something that he does. He also does not have a thing for heel face turn that some other players do have, so extensive and extra unnecessary steps for deception are unlikely.

This defense of food reads as vacuous to me. I don’t understand the
Case on food. But it seems more substantive.

Food is needed by humans to live.

Based on past games, I'm usually only ever up for lynch only once in a game, so if scum wanted to mislynch me they had to do it on D2 - leading to a conclusion that there was more scum on my wagon than not.

However, with further thought that would be an inaccurate conclusion since I doubt anyone other than myself would have tracked or kept record, leading me to discard it.

So like last big game where you were a leading candidate D3 and then lynched D4?
