Probably true if the setup is designed to make claiming en masse as useless as possible. if hes real then you lynch me and towns down probably 11 in a row and scum probably gets desperate tryinh to stop a cult from balooning.

You already acknowledged and believed EMC on his tracker claim.

FWIW, I skimmed your entire ISO and did not find anything to make me think you knew food was in our QT. So MAYBE, just MAYBE your line of thought makes some sense. If you were mafia, you wouldn't make a mistake like that as you'd 100% be clued in on the fact that food was my recruit.

Will be re-evaluating from this perspective.

Now the non tl;dr version.

Foodc joined the QT in D2, and could read through it all albeit without the abilty to post. At the point that he claimed in-thread that he had extra info, the wagons I believe were still leading with me at the fore, as it was for almost the entire day. When he committed full in to revealing he was in the QT, I was still leading.

So here's the thing. If he was scum, he has no motivation whatsoever to claim that in the main thread. Regardless of whether he believed me to be town or 3P, it would have been a benefit for me to die - with one small exception.

(the one exception would be that scum scanned Bismarck on N1, and preferred to lynch him over NK)

It would have been highly easy for him to not claim extra info as well, since he could've easily explained to Chaqa the night after "Oh, I did read this but I was still suspicious and couldn't bank on it, sorry man" and still remain seen as near-conf town in general - as well as able to access both the scum QT and Chaqa's Neighbour QT hidden.

Food is not fond enough of the emotional rush that comes from extensive deception that would have him do several pro-town actions and gloat in the aftermath.

So, because of that, the only way if you believe he was scum is that I am scum, and he was trying to save me, or if you believe that scum have some sort of scan.

What Neph means is that if there is a Lightning Rod and a Watcher, the following would happen if the Lightning Rod activated:

1. Irrespective of his original target, the Watcher is forced to watch the Lightning Rod.

2. Everyone else with a visit action is forced to visit the Lightning Rod.

3. The Watcher witnesses every visit.

4. The Watcher now has a list of every player with a visiting action, unless they happened to hold their visit that turn.

Now, if the LR and Watcher are both scum, that's a huge information gain for scum. Even if they're both town, it's pretty damn powerful.
