The hope is not entirely out. At least one American James Comey shows some prof of sanity. And then also maybe Paul Ryan. Hopefully he is a counter-candidate in the next presidential primary elections.

Hopefully the world survives 2,5 more years with the shithead so we get a chance to replace him...

There are others, but fewer of them are running for the higher political offices. The amount of abuse they have to suffer through from the lying' Trumps keeps them down.

After all the lies the Trump has told he finally admitted that he makes stuff up instead of getting the truth when called out by Canada. It makes me wonder what Melania knows about Trump crimes that he was so desperate to avoid a divorce so she can't be made to testify against him. Comey said that Melania doesn't believe Trump and he went to the FBI to back him up to her over the Russian prostitutes.

Paul Ryan recently spearheaded a tax reform designed to exacerbate wealth inequality. He made a political career out of undermining the rights of women and the working class. Just because he talks nice sometimes doesn't make him a good person.

I like Comey more now than I did when he was handling the Clinton emails in a way that contributed significantly to getting Trump elected, but he's no saint either.

Agree that they are no saints, but those things are just tiny details now when the world peace and survival is at stake (yes I am serious). Today, my heros are everyone that stand up to the shithead, and make his replacement just a little more possible (add Muller here). The big silent crowd gets no points at all in my book. Silent people not taking any action today and people that did not vote for the alternative are all as guilty to the current dangerous situation the world is at now.

Comey doesn't fit neatly into any category, let alone anyone's "side". He's gone from "tool of Trump and the GOP" to hero among many people on the left, all the while being an enemy of encryption and other matters of personal privacy.

What's interesting is that Comey himself is pretty consistent, but the way he's judged has been all over the spectrum over the last two years.
