Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
There is no scenario in which we lynch RHK, unless the Jailkeeper outs as town and we believe him.
The only way RHK is scum here is if he's scum with Brainbomb and they came up with this convoluted plan to try and falsely clear eachother, but even I dont wanna go there.

If EMC turns out to be scum, this is a Top 10 Anime Betrayals moment for me.
I feel pretty good about lynching brain today.

What do you think about blind squirrels?foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:22 pmI think both are town - iso aside, brainbomb is entirely capable of fake-claiming as town - but if you must, lynch brainbomb to reduce noise. And I think I could be more wrong about brainbomb anyway, because of how hard it is to read him.Chaqa wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:19 pmI think lynching brain or RHK today is the right play. One of them is lying.DemonRHK wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 12:48 pmWell, I already put it halfway out there.
Yes, I am a Doctor. I was prepping to counter brain but then he posted that specific syntax I realized it matched what I got, and that two identical roles was pointed out as possible. If there are bastard mechanics in play or something else, no clue but there it is.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
I think RHK's iso is too natural for this Rube Goldberg machine to be the answer.xorxes wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:32 pmBecause I had already made the argument that Jailor must be scum, and he had already established he had a protective role. Not many options left for him.
Nobody is going to claim Jailor now.

You think it's likely this setup has a Lightning Rod and a Watcher?xorxes wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:40 pmI did not notice your crumb, and it was not my intention to suggest watching Vecna (which as it turns out would have caused you to die if it wasn't for food), but your story makes perfect sense and I believe you.flash2015 wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:25 pm
OK, screw it. There aren't many investigative roles that are left...and I crumbed my role HARD.
If you go back to D1, I put the words "being there" in quotes just to emphasize the crumb. "Being There" is a 1979 film with Peter Sellers in the lead role. The most famous line in the film is when Peter Sellers uses the line "I like to watch". So I am the watcher.
A couple of posts after I crumbed, Donnie crumbed either tracker or watcher which made me highly suspicious of him...perhaps he was potentially setting up for a counter-claim later. A few posts after that Xorxes made a comment about Vecna needs to be watched (or something similar). I assume Xorxes saw my crumb and was giving me an instruction...so watch Vecna is what I ordered first day. After receiving the result about you and seeing the result from brain, I was furiously texting Worcej that he made a mistake...which I assume prompted him to write in the main thread to stop writing messages to him.
I still couldn't believe that worcej would put tracker AND watcher in the setup...so I continued to scumread emc D2. I chose xorxes N2 as I strongly townread him...and he is usually an early scum target.
That's also more evidence that emc is scum.

I don't understand. If you're just shitposting, please don't unnecessarily inflate the thread.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:56 pmWhat do you think about blind squirrels?
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Can you explain this please.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:28 pmHmmmm, so youre telling me that if we had lynched the jailkeeper D1, you wouldve known every visiting PR D2?flash2015 wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:25 pmOK, screw it. There aren't many investigative roles that are left...and I crumbed my role HARD.foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 12:41 pmHere's a general purpose principle that is much more useful to town than arbitrary mechanical thought experiments:
Scum are much less likely than town to claim roles. They have information, they have confidence in their hidden position, and they win by keeping town from acquiring information to solve with.
Strangely, many players seem to be focusing on the claims, even though those who have claimed are, in general, less likely to be scum.
This makes me realize... flash did not claim and took a long pause before even addressing the activity emc alleged, in a circumspect manner. Xorxes was jailed by someone not flash, meaning flash is likely an investigative or scum, based on the claims and reveals so far. I don't know that xorxes crumbed anything that would make it likely flash is the scum RB. But considering xorx was widely townread, why would flash investigate xorx?
I am bumping flash down into my nulls. I realize now that, much like damo, fox and summit, flash had one or two good posts that pushed me to think he is town, but everything else he has done is largely invisible - perhaps intentionally.

That seems......excessive
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
@damo, I think Vecna is suggesting that I could have potentially known everyone that had a night action. I am not sure if that would have been very useful though if almost everyone has a night action anyway.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
There has to be a Jailor, right? And they have to be scum? Or do you think there's any chance that the Jailor could be town?foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:58 pmI think RHK's iso is too natural for this Rube Goldberg machine to be the answer.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Why not, since it also has a Jailor?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:58 pmYou think it's likely this setup has a Lightning Rod and a Watcher?xorxes wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:40 pmI did not notice your crumb, and it was not my intention to suggest watching Vecna (which as it turns out would have caused you to die if it wasn't for food), but your story makes perfect sense and I believe you.flash2015 wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:25 pm

That too. The list of visitors would probably include half the town and half the scum, or something like that.

if the jailor is scum then lightning rod was likely stacked on purpose to out visiting roles N1 and get free info.

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
How would it out any visiting role that did not want to out themselves? Only you and Jamie were outed, Jamie had already outed in his EON. So basically you outed yourself as a visiting role, nobody else was outed. And most of town are probably visiting roles anyway.
Do you believe foodcoat's claim that his role is typed as roleblocker? If you do, it's hard to see him as scum.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
The best way to verify if it's a cult is to lynch emc. He is the most likely to not be town.
But RHK is a better lynch today. Do you believe town has two Doctors? Are you still claiming Doctor?
