I was thinking about something Nephthys said about the role assignments potentially being random, so that a scum Lightning Rod or scum Tracker would be more likely than if town and scum were assigned more traditional roles. (Neighborizer as a scum role would be tricky, as a scum Neighborizer recruiting town members would not be expected.)

Here is the post where Nephthys suggested random roles:

While researching this, I found out that in M47, where Nephthys was the GM, what he said was not accurate:

So, what Nephthys said about the roles not being tied to alignment in his game is not true. Since he was using this information to explain why he was voting for foodcoats, it looks very suspicious to me.
My apologies, I was using the initial set up that I had planned not the final one I ended up using. You may recall, 47 was controversial in many aspects and numbers were changed a lot.

41 I am definitely correct about though (with the exception of role cop which was locktown [played by jamie])
I agree M41 meets your description. I do not remember any controversy about M47.
So, with the info we have now we don't know if roles are totally randomized or if there are scum/town roles.
My role could be either town or scum (but it's a lot less usefull for scum, so I was tendingto think it's not fully random). Also it can break the game balance far too easy.
And we don't know if Nepthys was lying or just remembering the wrong game, which is weird considering he GMed that one.

I personally think this is scum theater between you two, FWIW.

I'll try to leave a rather lengthy EoN readslist. If not, food and EMC can relay my thoughts from our QT (just make sure to have them check each other, and make sure EMC doesn't screenshot it).
And I thought we were subtle...

I reviewed the sign up thread, and in the first post you already had separate lists of roles for town and mafia, so I do not know why the controversy you are referencing has anything to do with you changing the setup from one that had non-alignment specific roles.

JUST LYNCH EMC HERE PLEASE

TOWN JOAT IS MORE USEFUL THAN TOWN TRACKER

LYNCHING EMC CONFIRMS DONNY'S ALIGNMENT

IT IS THE BEST CALL

VOTE EMC
JOAT is also the most used scum role jamiet

lynch bismarck

EMC can get modkilled
Is this anywhere close to being true?
in closed setups? Yes, JOAT is quite often a scum role. Obviously I shouldnt have exaggerated it at that point but it felt like scum fakeclaiming to me.

@Vecna:

Without using screenshots, could you summarise what result you were informed of at the end of N1?
im not going to do this, my shit has already been too widely debated. Ill attempt to sent a package to someone in chaqa's QT tonight and itll most likely mean im either conftown or dead tomorrow. Or at least attract the RB.

Shouldve just stuck to not softing. Softing sucks ass. People always feel the need to attract attention to it to sound smart.

So, Brainbomb.

Brainbomb barely mentioned Bismarck all through D2 and did not appear to scumread him. He declared his main scumreads as being Vecna, Foxcastle, kgray, and Flash.

Then 1hr 11min (or 9 pages) before the deadline, he voted Bismarck on the basis that Bismarck was potentially going to get Modkilled. He then apparently vanished.

However, he was apparently able to be online at around about EoD time, because a few minutes after the "please hold" message, while Worcej was still processing the end of the phase, he posted a rather inappropriate post encouraging Worcej not to modkill EMC. This suggests to me that he had been present at EoD because he had seen EMC's little misdemeanour involving the screenshot. He should also therefore have noticed that Bismarck was present, and voting.

Yet, Brainbomb chose not to speak up, and left his vote on Bismarck as the deadline rolled over.

Hmm.
Ive been telling you man

Wish I didnt have the doubt and wouldve stopped catching up to push that shit. He needs to eat rope

Yeah, brain has struck me as quite scummy this whole game. This is just the latest.
For brain to be scum, I think foodcoats needs to be scum. I can't make sense of his start of day otherwise.
What is this connection you speak off? Dont remember that

Yep, the only big controversy I find was the Chippee exclusion and it was painful to read all that.

Eh, well I can tell you it initially was supposed to a mimic of 41 cause I liked it so much.

I doubt you will believe this but before that I PMed brain to ask for his help to balance and Co-GM, he helped me balance and suggested that I make it semi-open/open. Subsequently you can see what came of that.

I can't find the message in my inbox so cant prove it unless brain remembers so do with it as you wish.
