If you thought donny was lynchproof wouldnt you have mentioned it? why would you start a vanity wagon and not say

↑Jamiet99uk: "What were you doing, then? Deliberately plonking your vote on a wagon you didn't think was viable?"
emc and Chaqa were talking about having a counter wagon in case some mechanics things happened we didn't know about. I thought maybe Donny could be lynchproof, or someone could have some sort of power that lets them cast extra votes, or change a vote or something. So I was just trying to make sure that if Donny wasn't lynched for some reason, then Sarah would be the lynch instead.
"hey fam, donny cant die hes lynchproof"

Kgray seems desperate to hold on to her scumread here and it looks like she knows shes faking it. cracks are formingkgray wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 3:31 pmI don't really care if someone posts walls or short responses, or if they have 20 or 200 posts in a phase, as long as the content of their posts indicates to me that they're trying to figure things out. I'm not getting that from you.BismarckAlive wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 7:21 amYou really have it in for me, kgray. I understand it if it's just because I am seen as "lurking". I certainly am not. And there's a lot of people here that simply make 1 liners in response to other nonsense and fill the pages of the thread. English is my second language, so reading the thread is slow, and this game has generated a whole lot of thread more than my other experience with the likes of Jamiet, Bomb, Fox, Flash, Damo, Vecna, and so on. I pick my targets carefully - I ask them questions after analysing their contributions. I try to work out scum. I don't assume that lurking is scummy - much the same as I don't assume that verbosity and page-filling with Walls means you are Town. And I can confirm that I have a Town role on this island. Sure, a minor role, but a Town role nonetheless.kgray wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 6:19 pm
Why was it different in your case?
But fair enough, I agree about pattern recognition being easy/natural to focus on. I certainly did that my first game, and probably still do too much. But, I think this is something that's pretty easy to notice as scum, just as much as town, so I think it's NAI from Bismarck.
Can you point out anywhere where you ask someone a question in the way you described above? Some of your questions have obvious answers, like "who would benefit more from Donny's alignment not being revealed?" And some of them have answers you don't seem to care about. For example:
I think this is a good, towny question. But you didn't follow up with any evidence that you'd tried to answer it yourself. That makes me think you're just trying to look like you're hunting. Did you actually go back to see who was defending Donny? Did you get any reads from looking into this?BismarckAlive wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 3:36 amSo, who defended Donny the strongest and when? That is where we may find Donny's accomplices...
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
the effort to engage bismark really goes off course into mech talk which kgray vooced as being uninteresting to herkgray wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 3:38 pmI really don't know what would be a reasonable number of mafia/3p. This is my third game of forum mafia, and my first with a closed setup, a 3rd party, and tons of roles. I cannot comment on what would be "fair" to any of the factions, I was simply stating what I thought was possible based on the wording of the information we do have.BismarckAlive wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 7:54 amI disagree, kgray. This is how I am thinking about this important discussion:
21 people so, what would be REASONABLE scum number? 5?
Then we have 3p which is another faction we have to get rid of. So let's assume total people Town have to get rid of is 6.
So, 15 Town, 1 3p, and 5 mafia.
Now, assume Donny is Tracker as he claimed (Town). He dies, EMC takes over that. I would posit that EMC was originally Town, since it would be unfair to the setup if mafia EMC could then become Town if Donny was Town. Not so unfair if scum Donny dies, since mafia would stay the same.
So if my numbers are correct, we now have 20 people split up as 14 Town, 5 mafia and a 3p.
This is important, because we have to have some notion of what numbers of enemies we as Town are dealing with.
Are you saying you think that emc is lying about originally being 3rd party, and you think emc started out as a town universal backup? If so, walk me through why emc does this.

Brain, what changed your opinion of Kgray? I don’t think ?her? Play has changed recently at all...

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Bismarck and emc were the only options at that point, and even though I think emc is likely town, I would have switched my vote to emc if I was sure Bismarck was the town JOAT. However, there were reasons to doubt Bismarck's claim. One, as Nephthys and Vecna pointed out, he could have been a mafia JOAT (you were the mafia JOAT in M1010). Also, earlier D2 Bismarck said this: "And I can confirm that I have a Town role on this island. Sure, a minor role, but a Town role nonetheless." It is now obvious he was downplaying his role to avoid being a NK target, but that was not as obvious when he claimed, it looked like he could have been claiming a strong role to avoid the lynch.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:29 amAnd then there's Bozo.
Bozo did at least list Bismarck as a scumread several times during D2. That's a point in his favour, I suppose.
But then there was this, 12 minutes before the deadline:
Moments after this, Bismarck did claim his role.
There was no reaction from Bozo, who kept his vote right there on Bismarck.
Hmm.
@Bozo: You called on Bismarck to claim. He did so. Why did you keep your vote on him?

This is more confirmation bias at best. Bismarck's alignment was announce 29 minutes after the end of D2. You have no idea when I "vanished".Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:58 amThe phase is just under four hours old and various people live in different time zones. I should go to bed as it's nearly 2am here. I don't think people's lack of posting four hours into a 24 hour phase is all that indicative.summit_fever wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:55 amI'd like to point out that at this time:
Bozo
Damo
Dargor
Demon
flash
Sarah
TheMarche
Brain (his one doesn't count and shouldn't have been made)
are non posters during night 2
However, the fact that Bozo and Brain were around for EoD but vanished around the point of Bismarck's flip?
Hmmm.

JOAT is certainly not the most used scum role on this site. I reviewed recent games, and there were mafia JOATs in M1010 and M41, and town JOATs in M50 and M37.xorxes wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:10 pmIs this anywhere close to being true?Vecna wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 8:59 pmJOAT is also the most used scum role jamietJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 8:57 pmJUST LYNCH EMC HERE PLEASE

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
I was thinking about something Nephthys said about the role assignments potentially being random, so that a scum Lightning Rod or scum Tracker would be more likely than if town and scum were assigned more traditional roles. (Neighborizer as a scum role would be tricky, as a scum Neighborizer recruiting town members would not be expected.)
Here is the post where Nephthys suggested random roles:

I would be impressed if xorxes and emc are scum teammates, or Chaqa, emc, and foodcoats.

My apologies, I was using the initial set up that I had planned not the final one I ended up using. You may recall, 47 was controversial in many aspects and numbers were changed a lot.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 9:36 amI was thinking about something Nephthys said about the role assignments potentially being random, so that a scum Lightning Rod or scum Tracker would be more likely than if town and scum were assigned more traditional roles. I personally think this is scum theater between you two, FWIW.
I'll try to leave a rather lengthy EoN readslist. If not, food and EMC can relay my thoughts from our QT (just make sure to have them check each other, and make sure EMC doesn't screenshot it).
