I thought it was brainbomb's idea as well, though I was not reading quite as thoroughly as normal due to having to catch up 20 pages in a short time.xorxes wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:58 pmWhether it was reasonable or not, it was not an idea initiated by brainbomb, and it was a concern that several people raised, which you probably already know if you were reading the thread.summit_fever wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:48 pmI really want to emphasise this. At 2pm PDT it is 11pm in Saxony (Maybe some of Saxony is GMT+1).
I believe it is unreasonable, given how Bismarck was playing, to come to the conclusion that an unvote at end of day 2 was a likely result.

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Yes I confirmed this with post #1248. It is the same time zone as eastern australia and voting time would be 7am PDT.summit_fever wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:54 pmOh sorry 7 hours behind due to daylight savings. That would be horribly annoying.summit_fever wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:53 pmOkay if that is true then he is 5 hours behind PDT which would be 9 in the morning. That would be much more annoying.
hmm.. I think it is more reasonable to assume he may have finished on an unvote.

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Here is something interesting I have noticed while looking back at Bismarck's posts:
I don't know whether this is significant, but Vecna claimed he lost a charge as a result of the Lightning Rod, while Bismarck told us that he did not lose a charge (despite his actions clearly having finite charges). It seems impossible he would have been lying about that.
BismarckAlive wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 8:51 pmI didn't want to claim, but your pointless drive against me leaves me no choice to save town from a severe mislynch.
I am JOAT on this island. I am the Jack-of-all- Trades, a multi-purpose tool to be employed to hunt down scum.
Lynch me, and you will regret it.
And no-one lost their powers on N1 - Foodcoats' action took it all, so everyone still has their powers. How do I know? My PM from GM told me.

@Vecna:
Without using screenshots, could you summarise what result you were informed of at the end of N1?

You should probably tell him to track someone scummy. You should make the choice of who, not him.

Hard to understand why Vecna would make up such a silly lie.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:00 amHere is something interesting I have noticed while looking back at Bismarck's posts:

I think that actually lends credence to Vecna. Typically an Item Smith/Item Giver will lose their invention unless roleblocked, but an action you attempt to use would fail and not be used up?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:00 amHere is something interesting I have noticed while looking back at Bismarck's posts:

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
I'm not sure who first expressed concern over it. Brainbomb is the only one that factored it into his lynch. You mentioned Brainbomb's faux outrage. Xorxes mentioned it to Bozo who seemed unconcerned and thought the lynching may come anyway if it was between Bismarck and EMC.Chaqa wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:59 pmI thought it was brainbomb's idea as well, though I was not reading quite as thoroughly as normal due to having to catch up 20 pages in a short time.xorxes wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:58 pmWhether it was reasonable or not, it was not an idea initiated by brainbomb, and it was a concern that several people raised, which you probably already know if you were reading the thread.summit_fever wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:48 pmI really want to emphasise this. Will do, and will instruct food to do the same so we have some verification.

Lol scumread me harder and get more dedicated into mislynching, so I can live longer.xorxes wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:55 pmI guess we'll find out tonight how fearful of the purported Tracker they really are.Chaqa wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:43 pmI think more fear of a Tracker than a new player.xorxes wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:39 pm
Why would scum prefer to lynch emc? It seems scum would prefer to leave him alive if he was town, so that we can't confirm Donny's alignment. Also, most of the people voting for him did so with more conviction than the people voting for Bismarck, so he is more likely to remain a viable candidate. What makes you think they rather lynch emc?

I don't think food is anywhere as close to being clear as you are. Don't let him influence your decision.

Well, if you are town they might want to keep me alive to push your mislynch, so I can live longer as well

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
So, Brainbomb.
Brainbomb barely mentioned Bismarck all through D2 and did not appear to scumread him. He declared his main scumreads as being Vecna, Foxcastle, kgray, and Flash.
Then 1hr 11min (or 9 pages) before the deadline, he voted Bismarck on the basis that Bismarck was potentially going to get Modkilled. He then apparently vanished.
However, he was apparently able to be online at around about EoD time, because a few minutes after the "please hold" message, while Worcej was still processing the end of the phase, he posted a rather inappropriate post encouraging Worcej not to modkill EMC. This suggests to me that he had been present at EoD because he had seen EMC's little misdemeanour involving the screenshot. He should also therefore have noticed that Bismarck was present, and voting.
Yet, Brainbomb chose not to speak up, and left his vote on Bismarck as the deadline rolled over.
Hmm.
