Ok so I'm re-reading on the assumption that EMC and Chaqa are town and one thing is still bugging me.

In what world does a town!food who genuinely believes that using his power means he dies, use it on N1?

I guess it's possible he had thought that there was a strongman of some sort.

But if you're gonna strongman why throw it D1. Why not wait until there's an inevitable TC and some sort of likely protection when you actually need to crack it...

LR is best in two cases, imo.

1) Early, where you get a TON of info from it (And without a jailor this would have been an absolute COUP. Alas, if there is a watcher, it was for naught.

2)Late, to save a townclear in the endgame.

If you don't think you'll make it endgame, why not blow your load early. At best you get info, at worse you waste the NK. This is a middle ground that got us a townclear (99%)

I must have been reading his justifications too rigidly and flat literal and therefore contradicting.

In that case, if EMC's claim about his original role is true, would he now be part of Chaqa's cult, or would he now have whatever alignment Donny had on death? Which conversion would trump the other?

Hmm... good question.

Chaqa said emc gained access to the QT during D1 so at that point he must have known he was converted. I don't know if he would keep his previous powers and then be able to convert back into whatever Donny was. Too weird. Probably not what happened anyway.

I think he'd be in Chaqa's cult.

If Chaqa converted him D1, when emc learned about the chat, then emc's role would presumably have changed to whatever the 3p cult role is at that point, and then emc wouldn't have the power that allows him to take Donny's role when Donny was lynched. If the conversion didn't happen until the QT was available, that would have been N1 after Donny already died and emc already took Donny's role. So emc would still have been converted to Chaqa's cult, because nothing about Donny's role (presumably) would prevent that.

I guess it's possible that a cult conversion wouldn't change the power, just the alignment... in which case, I think if Chaqa converted emc D1 before Donny died, then emc's power would still cause him to change his alignment to whatever Donny's was.

But if emc is in chaqa's cult, why chaqa would have declared at the end of N1 that if he was killed emc was scum? it makes no sense. IMO they're not in a cult together, nor in the same faction. I keep on thinking donny was scum, and so is emc.

Food is of course off my list. Chaqa is back up the reads as well after how D2 has progressed.

Fox has been low activity and unusually opportunistic. Kinda just piled on the wagon on the back of other people's work.

Xorx still rubs me wrong, but it could just be a bad tunnel. Or he's right and you're playing us.

I think the EMC gives us endlessly more information than anything else and I think there's a reasonable chance he is scum

What information emc lynch will bring that can´t be discovered in other ways.
If he is telling the truth he can´t track some of the people already claiming visiting roles. Scum can roleblock him, but then they won´t roleblock other possible PRs. They can roleblock the visiting PRs, but they will have have to guess right and they are good Watcher targets if we have one.
If he is lying he will have to claim RB or something like that every night and we will lynch him later.
Town tracker is a powerfull role in a setup where all scum have roles and I think scum will be really interested in killing him.

And this is true as well. I don't know what to do, but for the moment i'll keep my vote.

Here is the further explanation of my town reads:

Foxcastle: His participation in tracking down information about Donny's secretary reference looked to me like he was town. I know Vecna started it, but that could have been a calculated move by Vecna, where Foxcastle jumped in and would have been less like to have planned to drive a Donny lynch.

kgray: For most of her questions, I whave been interested in hearing the answers, which leads me to believe she is looking at things from a town perspective.

Nephthys: Even though I have disagreed on a number of his reads, he has not been hesitant to give his opinions, and I believe he is actively trying to figure out what is going on.

rdrivera: I have agreed with most of his observations and suggestions.

TheMarche: It seems he was paying careful attention day 1, and I doubt he was faking his question that indicated he was not aware of how scum chat worked.

summit_fever: I thought his keeping track of the mass claim opinions seemed town motivated, and I think he has made good observations.

xorxes: He is putting in his usual town level of effort and questioning things I think are worth questioning.

Thanks bozo. I strongly agree with TheMarche and xorxes being town, mostly for the reasons you stated. And I agree with most of what rivera says too, so I'm townleaning him but with a slight suspicion that I could have been buddied.

I really disagree about Neph. It seems like he's missing some fairly obvious things, and I'll admit that isn't necessarily scummy but I don't quite agree with your conclusion that he's trying to figure out what's going on.

Has your opinion of Fox changed at all since his reaction to the "slip"?

Foxcastle has been less active D2, but he might just be busy. Foxcastle is good at playing scum, though. I am not too confident about Nephthys either, but he is expressing his opinions and they generally seem to me to be coming from a town perspective. I suggest reading M41 for a Nephthys town reference, which is a game where Nephthys, Foxcastle, and I made it to lylo.
