Sorry for missing EOD, I was at a video call where a stupid burocrat decided we should get back to presencial work next week. But they will give us masks. Brilliant.

I don't know about Donny. I see reasons for scum activate this power either on a town or a scum, to deny town info mostly. I don't think we should assume he was scum.

So you think it's completely open whether he was town or scum? You don't have an opinion one way or the other? It is something we should just ignore and move on?
Id say 80/20 if I had to give it odds.
Then you basically agree with me that it's a good idea to assume he was scum and work from there (look for connections, etc.)
Unless you meant 80 for town.

I really dont think its a good idea to build a case based on Donny's interactions no.

It could be a point in a case but its hella dangerous to base one on

Coming from the person who correctly posed that Tom may have been faking the greatest play to ever happen on this site I can't fathom how you are so readily accepting this.

That would only make sense if you knew that Donny was town. Otherwise why would it not be just more proof of my brilliance?

On the contrary, the only way yours makes sense is if you know he was scum. Considering that you townread him up until the slip it just seems off that you so readily are willing to accept him as scum.

He started to look more and more too scummy to be scum.

My initial scumread was because of the "pete bot" thing, which also looked like a scumslip but less strident than the secretary one, so I accepted his explanation that he had read about it somewhere else.

A blatant scumslip can do that, yes.

Alright, I think there's a very good chance that Donny is scum and it would be nice to finally vote to lynch a scumbag... so ##vote Donny.

But if emc/chaqa/anyone else think the Sarah wagon should be bigger, I'd move there. I hadn't considered vote manipulation being a possibility.
This post makes me uncomfortable.

It seems last minute attempt to save

But yet there was a plausible, albiet unlikely, explanation.

Does it change your thoughts that I genuinely thought secretary was the official role as well??

I also believe Mafia could have a secretary, this is because votes have fluctuated a bit
I could totally be wrong though and have no basis for this claim.
Can you also flesh this out a bit?

Do you think a non-secretary mafia team would have the whole voting pattern be static?
@Neph, you seemed rather unperturbed by Donny's mention of a secretary.

FWIW, I think that him being cleaned up, combined with his "I hope this gives town something to work with" spiel, is intended for us to think Donny was a town member, when in fact he was a mafia member.

The entire thing from his Secretary outing to everything else screams "Donny outed us as to having a Secretary, and if we don't clean him up, they'll know we still have one".

So my hypothesis is that he was a non-Secretary scum role. I wonder if he could Janitor himself?

##CallGM - should GM Calls be made in private, or is the thread okay?
I feel this might be quite an accurate assumption.

Im even wondering if brainbomb asking me whether I was gonna vote him tomorrow regardless of the flip had something to do with this? 8-)

Save a teammate or save a non-teammate?

I think it was very clear at that point that there was no saving possible. She was also the first one to bring attention to the secretary thing.

EOD Flavor:
Donny was slowly walking through the forest. The sounds of the island’s inhabitants were growing louder in the distance. Between animals and shouting people, he decided to try to keep quiet as he walked.

Suddenly, Donny is hit in the head by a volleyball. Looking down and picking the ball up, he sees that it has a bloody handprint on it with a face painted on it.

“Wilson?... Am I in a movie or something?!” Donny whispers. He looks to his right and hears the sounds of someone approaching.

“WILSON!?!” a malnourished Tom Hanks shouts as he comes out of the bushes. Donny’s mouth opens in confusion…

“You idiot Wilson, you don’t strike people in the head when you want to kill them. Especially when you’re a damn volleyball. You do this!” Tom Hanks quickly throws the noose he made to kill himself around Donny’s neck instead. Donny struggles, but Tom quickly lifts him up into the air.

“Shhh…. No struggling…” Tom whispers “I have been stuck on this island ever since we filmed Cast Away. They replaced me with someone else instead of me and left me to DIE! But little did they know I am a true survivor. All that training during filming Saving Private Ryan… I’ve been watching you from the shadows…”

Donny tries his hardest to break free, but Tom continues. “I figured out how to get off this island…” he eyes Donny’s watch hungrily “and I only have an ice skate to get it, so it’s going to take me awhile to get it. Better to end you now so that I can get my ticket out of here…”

Donny continues to flail for a few more moments until finally drawing his last breaths. Tom drops him down to the ground and begins to ‘work’ at getting his prize… it takes a few hours but finally he gets the arm off and the watch free.

“Now to get it on my own wrist…” Tom slips it on with little effort, considering he is basically skin and bones…

Donny Dude HAS BEEN LYNCHED. THEY WERE [REDACTED] OF THE [REDACTED] FACTION!

Night 1 has begun. You may now post.
Also, this flavour is incredible

What do you mean by secratary?
Like a role or something
Correction, it was Sarah, not kgray, that did this. I have to read that again, for some reason I thought it had been kgray who brought attention to this first.
