how do you make someone else play your country? i see people doing it all the time but i can't. and do you get your bet back?

You cannot voluntarily leave. If you do not submit orders twice in a row, you are kicked out of the game and lose your bet. This allows someone else to take over. However, this hurts your reliability rating which prevents you grom joining games that have a reliability requirement.
Alternatively, if you have a replacement player lined up that is willing to take over for you, send and email to [email protected] to ask for a swap.
