I gotta say I'm intrigued by foodcoats.

We have somewhat similar play styles except he is significantly better at it.

I have usually pegged him when he hasn't been town (including 3P) and yet I don't feel anything is off this game yet so many others do.
Foodcoats was my locktown fyi

Also, I have no idea why you think your playstyles are similair.

Like, going to the trouble to resize the 0s...

But it turns out that the right way to match 0 to o is to go with size=73, like this: o0
It's really bothering you, isn't it?

Bozo! Would love to see you post some time, once caught up. Unusually quiet, is it lack of mechs?
See, EMC is actually the only one calling out this good shit.

Bozo's townread is vanishing quickly

Could it be that Foxcastle is super triggered by my post because Brainbomb was defending him against me, and he's really bothered by my vote on him? Fox really seems to be looking out for things that threaten him.

Intriguing.

Fox feels rather lackadaisical so far. He's made some weak statements and doesn't really seem interested.
Mhh, but he hasn't really displayed any of his usual scum behaviour I don't think.

Do you think a more relaxed Fox is town or scum indicative?
I think im willing to call EMC locktown as well. Does that please you Neph?

Now then.

What do you think of the votes cast by Damo and Sarah for Dargorygel? Do you think they give good reasons for voting him?
Trying to grab attention to fire rhetorical questions. If no reason was provided, why on earth would you ask people this? Especially after you went stating a bunch of posts before there was no reason given?
Inaccurate.

I did not say they gave no reason.

I said they gave bad reasons.

Those be very different tings.
Let's talk about this, Vecna.

Did you just mis-read what I was saying, or were you mis-characterising my comments on purpose?

Ooh I like this.
Isn't that true pretty often anyway? Not to be fatalistic about it, and not that town never catches scum on D1, but it's usually a mislynch. The idea that "Sarah is a good distraction" is just a specific case of "town is distracted" which is normal for Day 1.
Yeah, you're right. It's not necessarily the most enlightened thing I've heard, but it vibed so well with what I had just been thinking about foodcoats.
Kgray uses the word vibed. Instant townread

Im still catching up. Maybe a little bit of both to see your response? Im actually puzzled by what you hoped to achieve with it, but the depth of Nephtys' response showed that maybe I was underappreciative of what you were on to.

I spent a lot of time last game trying to set people straight on my meta. I would prefer not to have to do that this game.
If your meta is that you "look bad" as town, does that mean you look good as scum?
Ill agree that Fox as scum is usually a lot more careful as scum, and probably would not put himself in a spot where I could attempt to fry his ass over bad gambit logic.

risk to town:
1. the third party could be like the assassin in a previous game where they win by killing certain roles
Highly unlikely, given this:

The goal is simple: be the last group alive. My team is equipped with the means to end you quickly, however will you be able to outwit them and overcome them yourselves? Time will tell. Just remember, there is no such thing as honor in a deathmatch…”
This post really rubs me the wrong way. town!xorxes wouldn't use flavor in his analysis.
Xorxes uses whatever fits, no? It makes sense to me that if the GM calls it a deathmatch that the wincons are probably "be the last one standing".

Anyone think it possible that damo intentionally dropped off after so many people called him out?
He does that shit as town all the time as well id say. Regardless, ive given up on given to read Damo. People like him piss me off, since its basically become acceptable to everyone. In the meantime, EMC must be policy lynch every time he doesnt vote. Vecna must be insta lynched anytime he lurks for a day or two.

Well Sarah does seem to be trying somewhat... I don't think she's a bad lynch, but I'm willing to giver her a bit more time.

##vote foodcoats
foodcoats wrote:

I am giving scum points to rdr and Chaqa for arguing that we should vote Sarah because she is bad-town. I have played scum and 3P more than I have played town on here, and "this person is scum OR bad-town so they're a positive EV lynch" is a great D1 argument that I enjoy employing from those perspectives. :-D

As town, personally, I don't want to lynch any town, and it's bit early to be arguing as though we are out of options and therefore should policy Sarah based on the last game, isn't it?
First of all, the "I'm town so I don't want to lynch town" statement is just gross in general. But also brushing off lynching Sarah as policy is pretty rich coming from someone who 1) either doesn't understand why Sarah is getting votes or is misrepresenting the reason and 2) voted for emc as a policy vote - not to mention the weirdness where foodcoats apparently didn't even realize emc was playing...

But primarily, foodcoats' vote for Sarah is one of the scummiest posts I've seen so far:
foodcoats wrote:

I am coming around on Sarah. I saw noobscum cornered this way in a game I played on Mafia Scum. Sarah seems to be spiralling on her accusers rather than paying attention to any other happenings in-game.

##VOTE Sarah
I don't think Sarah was spiraling on her accusers at all. In fact, she had just started to actually engage with the people who were trying to talk to her. I think the random scum from another game is just extra fluff meant to give weight to a week argument. And, I think foodcoats just jumped on a big, safe wagon because it seemed like an easy place to hide a vote.
This is a really interesting case on Food. I had a bad feeling about this post and focused more on justifying my vote and didn't pay enough attention to the vote. Food and Dargo could be two interesting wagons for D1.
Hmmm, I think I missed this decently good case from Gray. Not sure if I agree 100% on the conclusion, but maybe I need to look back again at my reasons for townreadiny food to see if they hold up and this needs an alternative view.

Why not? If I remember right Xorxes once said he will use any tool or info that advance his team wincon. It was exactly on a discussion about massclaim or something that could break the game.
heh, just when im getting worried about not having a townread on Rdrivera and he goes and posts exactly that

pshh, says my fellow competitor for the soft n illustrious gaze of Vec darlin'
EMC, you already have my townread. Especially your suspicion of me is just too adorable.

Neph's expectation that I should be able to deduce his alignment properly is something that works in his favor. I know, more recently as town he has been taking a bit longer to start producing his really towny mind-flow posts (oops I just gave away the secret, gl faking it if youre scum Neph), so im withholding judgement. I like some of his posts. I like that he's actually appearing to try read Sarah. I like he actually put a read on Marche of all people. I dont know if I like his donny read.
i guess I should just claim scum and be done with it then?

He coasted early but he does that as town also. It is 1000% NAI for flash and I think experienced people in the meta should know this.
Isnt it like:

Scum: 100% lurk

Town: sometimes lurk, but more often just chat it up day1? Im sure ive seen him do the latter plenty so not sure if this is an entirely accurate representation.
