karma activated roles did exist in M41. Civilization mafia. I created the idea of roles that gain powers from giving out a specific number of karma

I remember that, but I just can't believe worcej would come up with a role that is required to +1 every post of the game. That would be too cruel.

My role is pretty dumb. I have to +1 every post in the thread.

This has already drawn a lot of attention. Was it a joke? If not, what happens if you do not? Assuming you do not really have to +1 every post, do +1s figure into your role in another way?

Technically, I have to every post by the end of the following phase. I.E. I need to +1 every Day 1 post by end of night 1. If I don't, I will die as it's a quasi-compulsive role.

Just sitting back and observing is a bad idea if you're town, because you don't give us any way of figuring you out. You need to express your opinions and the reasons for those opinions so that we can judge if you are being genuine or not. Being right is less important than being genuine.

mafia power thief needed 6 karma to activate

universal backup needed 10 to activate

scum probably has a role that gets powers with karma. chaqa may be giving out large amounts to bury who he is empowering. I think damo and fox used this strat with squiggs in m41

Town-slip by Neph? Wouldn't scum know each other's roles and not need signalling?

Im my extensive history as scum and not so extensive history as a GM I have seen the role but not the PM posted.

It could say something like
Chaqa - Conditional Godfather
Chaqa - Karma Godfather
But doesn't detail the amount or inner workings.

I would take it to mean that you need a lot of +1s to get the power to work

Well, I officially miss the bot. Without going back to look at the player list, here's who has struck a chord with me so far:

Dargo - I was only half joking. I think he's probably scum since as town he would not be so keen on jumping into the game, at least historically.
Sarah - Seems similar to last game, but don't sleep on her being scum
Jamiet - I think he's probably scum. Too calm and level-headed.
Brainbomb - Town for now. Usually I get a firmer read on him later
Vecna - Seems town!Vecna to me so far, but further information needed
xorxes/Bozo - Both seem normal for their town meta
Neph - slight townread for possible townslip. Although now that he's explained it, maybe it was a scumslip? err....

Anyone I didn't mention mention, is null for now.

This, my friends, is the prime example of why we lose so often.

Here, 4/5 reads rest 100% on meta.
