Is there a way to play a 7 player game where 2-3 players are human and the rest bots?

Yes, and here is how:

1) Make a Private, Classic, Gunboat (no messaging) game, and check the box that will fill the game with bots if people don't join.
2) Only give the password to the few humans who you want to play
3) Let the join time run out, and bots will fill any unfilled countries (if you have checked the box for that).

Note that in order to check the box, it must be a classic map, no messaging game. Do not message your friends about games outside of webdip without emailing the mods and receiving permission first.
