I do not particularly like playing scum. I like to solve and engage with people and banter, and—as I have been trying to impart—playing scum demands too much care and concern for your appearance.

However, I find scum games less frustrating, because I can be lazy, whereas if I want to actually try to play games as town, it backfires and I end up looking scummy.

Going to bed, in case I don’t live - look at rdr and bozo. I have been preaching this from the moon and back, maybe someone might listen.

Damo seems off as well. I didn’t like the comment that bo was pushing for a mislynch. I feel like I am seeing more words in his posts than I am used to.

Not sure on Brain - I think he falls into frustrated town but if he is scum, we really all suck for giving him a pass this long after his weird claims.

Jamie / xorxes / Fox are my towncore atm. Emc and sarah need to do more, cannot really place them well and their contributions are lackluster.

I do not believe he thinks he was bad as town in M54, and I do not think he was bad at town. The only reason he was a lynch target by D5 was that he had bad luck ending on emc instead of Bob D3. If he turns out to be town this game, I will agree he has not played a good town game.

I hope our newbie shows up. I'm slightly concerned that "Sarah" only joined the site a couple of weeks ago and just signed up to Mafia at the last moment. After Pjandy last time, I hope we don't get another newb absentee. Not sure if people reaching out to the newb with "oh here's some super helpful advice" before they even post for the first time are earnestly helpful or trying to earn townie brownie points.

Oh well hopefully by the time I wake up and check back here there will be something more interesting to talk about.

Pages 7-11 the only ppl who speak are emc, myself, xorxes, bunnygo. xorxes spends 3 pages arguing with bunny about why bunny is acting too disciplined.

I have caught up since my last post and I have a few observations to make.

First of all, it appears we have town Xorxes on our side. Rejoice! I hope he catches some scum while he lives.

What is the point of this question?

The Vengeful is town. His/her only power is to be able to hit a revenge kill. That benefits town if it hits scum. If it hits town, on the same night there is a successful NK, then three townies have died in exchange for zero Mafia deaths.

If you are town, why on Earth would you be happy with that happening?

Is this some kind of WIFOM scum double-bluff logic, "if I say I want the Vengeful to target me, then he will assume I am a VT so he won't kill me"??

Suicide pact? Sure! You go first.

Jamie decides he is okay with my vengeful questionare and volunteers me to die first.

Vanilla Townies are more likely to be comfortable with dying if their death might be informative, or if their death prevents the death of a town PR. It's often said that VTs should not be afraid to die (which I'm not sure I always agree with).

My initial instinct was that Brainbomb was fishing for VT claims which is a very scummy thing to do.

Anyone want to give a town justification for Brainbomb's little poll?

Jamie agrees with damo that my questionare poll was to out catch vt claims and out PRs. Jamie shades me publicly.

Conclusion here is that Jamie was abnormally concerned about Sarah not showing up. This strikes me as wolf worried about a fellow wolf. whereas jamies treatment of me was demonstrably looking for a way to piggy back off of damos read on me.

I'll remove Bozo and Damo. On D2, they both sat on Bo_Sox from the start and didn't move. I would think they would want to put more distance in between them. Less strong, but in the same vein, they both landed on Jamiet pretty close to eachother on D3, they voted within 35 minutes of eachother (with Xorxes voting Jamiet in between them).

This is where I am at the moment:

brain: town (Interactions with Jamiet, very hard to read as SvS)
damo: town (exchanges with Jamiet + votes)

That leaves:

bozo can't be scum with worcej or Fox, so the only possibility left there is bozo-Sarah.

I used to believe worcej-Sarah was impossible because of the way worcej treated Sarah, and I think it still holds. I need to refresh that though.

Sarah-Fox seems unlikely as well because of Sarah's opening vote. Not ruling it out, but low likelihood.

And that gets us to Fox-worcej.

@Fox, @worcej: is there any reason you can give me that suggests you are not teammates? (or if anyone else has a good reason)

Also, for me to believe you are town, I have to believe that the team is bozo-Sarah.

I don't think I will be able to sort Sarah this game. I have tried and tried but she is not cooperating. I can't even scumread her for that (only valid for this game, if she flips scum she won't get away with it ever again).

So in order to decide if it is bozo-Sarah I need to sort bozo, which I haven't done yet. I'm leaning town, but I'm not all the way there like with brain and damo.

If I'm correct, game is solved for me anyway, because we have a mislynch, and my only two remaining pairs seem to be Fox-worcej or bozo-Sarah.

I will ##VOTE worcej to start with.

I could change to Fox though.

I'm open to hear a case on bozo and/or Sarah as well, but I feel more confident in worcej-Fox for now.

I usually care very little about Brainbomb scumreading me, because Brainbomb has declared me to be his top scumread, at some point during the game, ​in every game we have ever been in together. I *respond* to Brainbomb scumreading me, and it sometimes *annoys* me, but I don't take it particularly seriously because he does it. Every. Bloody. Time.

You will learn to understand, and perhaps eventually tolerate, what Brainbomb is like, if you're here long enough. Oh, the joy.
