@tham good thoughts and nice scumhunting. You're going waaaaayyyy too deep though. Stay a few levels higher and you'll be fine. Look for more surface level connections between people. Look for those who seem opportunistically dumb.

You're talking out of your ass and ignoring possibilities with unreasonable cocky confidence. You kinda do that all the time, so maybe I'm recency biasing, but you're also smart a lot of the time and you're being pretty fucking stupid right now.

Remember that game we had on discord where demon came up with the terrible plan to clear you and you convinced Balduran I was scum at Lylo?
This is feeling a lot like that game. I solved the game and starting getting super cocky as you were throwing shade my way the entire time.

@Foxcastle: Did you do something to actively claim the throne? What does being king do for you?

Good day peasants,

Consider your emperor at least marginally impressed by your ability to find and murder barbarians. I shall organize games and feasts for a week in celebration.

For the glory of Rome!

Also, bb, if a player has yet to meet the post requirement and the vote requirement and you are telling everyone in the game about what will happen if they don't do either. Maybe, just maybe, you should send a PM or Discord message to said player reminding them to post and vote. Ya know, in case they spaced and forgot about the game.

Maybe they/you shouldn't space and forget about the game.

Okay, maybe, but it happens. We all have lives outside of this and sometimes they take precedent over this or they end up with us preoccupied. Being a GM means hoping for the best and planning for the worst (and trying to avoid the worst happening in the first place), and if someone is willing to spend so much time and effort crafting such long and witty prose for flavour, I don't see the issue with asking them to do something that equates to opening discord, clicking a name, typing "yo you haven't voted yet and haven't met the post requirement either, do that within the next 3 hours or you'll be modkilled" and hitting send.

Spare us the lecture, Vash. Your reputation precedes you. You miss deadlines in mafia and Diplomacy all the time. It's not the end of the world. Worse things have happened. But you should set reminders on your phone or make a note or something productive yourself before blaming other people for the fact that you can't seem to stick to your commitments.

So to make it clear, I am not blaming bb for what happened. Sorry if my tone conveyed that message. I am not saying "bb you suck, how dare you let me not post" but more of a "hey bb, sometimes I'm a fuck up (well maybe more than sometimes but whatever), here's something you should do so that when I'm a fuckup it's less likely to screw everyone". And maybe I will start setting reminders on my phone for stuff like this, I probably should at least.

Also, don't conflate my Mafia and Diplomacy reputations. I NMR quite a bit in Diplomacy yes (I really should stop overdosing on games tbh) but in mafia I have missed a phase end (well without a vote) like once (remarkably on a day I forgot about the game and didn't get a message from the GM irrc, it was around M9 or so). I may not post a lot early on, but I usually come around.
