Re: M1010 Mini-Mafia
I noticed last game that you tried to sell yourself as a newbie. And now you're trying to sell yourself as unskilled? Is there a reason you're lowering expectations?
Re: M1010 Mini-Mafia
Do you think it's more likely he came off a scum win and is feeling lighter because he doesn't have to pretend and can take a different approach, or do you think he's deploying a new persona having rolled scum again?
Re: M1010 Mini-Mafia
Do you have a specific area of research, Bunny?

It saddens me that none of you seem to have seen the glorious classic Clue starring Tim Curry.brainbomb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 6:04 amwhat exactly is happening hereFoxcastle wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 10:00 pmWell, someone's got to break the ice, and it might as well be me. I mean, I'm used to being a hostess; it's part of my husband's work, and it's always difficult when a group of new friends meet together for the first time to get acquainted, so I'm perfectly prepared to start the ball rolling. I mean, I have absolutely no idea what we're doing here, or what I'm doing here, or what this place is about, but I am determined to enjoy myself and I'm very intrigued and oh, my, this soup's delicious isn't it?

Re: M1010 Mini-Mafia
No. Vengeful should kill me later in game when I'll likely be a mild scumread for a larger portion of game.
Also, my recommendation is that Vengeful should remove a lurker/low poster from game.
Re: M1010 Mini-Mafia
Honesty. I’m a very harsh self-critic. I’ve been training with swordsman and that hasn’t made me feel better about my abilities either.

I have. But not recently enough to recognize a quote.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 12:30 pmIt saddens me that none of you seem to have seen the glorious classic Clue starring Tim Curry.brainbomb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 6:04 amwhat exactly is happening hereFoxcastle wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 10:00 pmWell, someone's got to break the ice, and it might as well be me. Re: M1010 Mini-Mafia
In the lead up/early stages of WWII, the UK was still heavily dependent on food imports and wanted to know whether they could grow enough food from local gardens to feed people. They did a study to see how much individuals and communities could grow in little plots and all that, but at the end of the study, they determined that the project was not feasible. The problem, though, was not a lack of food under the plan—they actually could grow enough to feed people—it was that the shift to a much-higher fiber diet would overwhelm local sewage systems.
Anyway, my point is that Damo's post here is full of shit.
Re: M1010 Mini-Mafia
Are you a Bayesian or a frequentist?

Re: M1010 Mini-Mafia
Depends on the problem. My default thinking process is Bayesian. But often base assumptions suck, or actually computing with things is near impossible with Bayes. Also some problems nearly demand frequentist analysis, it just works better.
Re: M1010 Mini-Mafia
The question itself is pretty useless as it is unlikely to be answered by most.
The posing of the question is scummy as it smacks of PR hunting.
