Re: Mini Mafia II: Shakespeare Mash Game Thread
Should we tell Vecna that Caesar was never emperor?
My role says specifically that I'm not a claimant to the theme, which makes me believe this bullshit is kind of serious.

I tend to believe Vecna. I don't know whether it's good or bad to advance his wincondition though. And I'm sure there are probably parts of his wincon he's not sharing.
@ghug - Ezio answered my question to you, but you did not. I'm asking which of your votes so far have been serious?

I did not forget ND. Explain how your vote here is similar to your accusation of ND.
Re: Mini Mafia II: Shakespeare Mash Game Thread
@rdr - I don't really care how the setup works tbh. I'm unconcerned until it becomes concerning. Whose behavior so far seems suspicious to you?
@reedeer - you were happy to join in the prose (quite nicely I might add), but you've slid back into low-post mode beyond that. Any thoughts so far?
@Durga - sober yet? What do you make of ghug's votes?

They're both meaningless.
Also I invite others to vote thamrick. I can't be sure but he treat me strange - isn't scummy?

At this point yukavic and guhg are on my could be scum list and be an on my could be town (/ 3rd party)
Yukavic is not acting normal throwing around joke votes after saying that he does not throw around joke votes, and just all around seems off.
Guhg is acting diffrent as well. Its harder to place why in his case though. Somthing about his posting style is off.

I must change my name into something easy. yukavic, yakovic?
yukavic is the worst thing that is said as my name.
Once brainbomb told me yankovic.
And you'll regret to lynch me!

I'm content to stay on Vecna. He seems committed to his role, and that makes me think his win condition is going to be more important to him than town lynching scum, so we should just get that out of the way.

I don't know what to think about Vecna claim. He is probably Ceaser but not sure if this means he is town. Anyway, he will probably be sorted one way or another.
Dargo seems really towny to me in his answers to Vecna.
I also find Fox a bit off, he posted just about mechanics in a game where we don't know nothing about the mechanics.
I also dislike this Reedeer vote on Yav, I think it's an easy anchor vote.
##vote Fox for now

Re: Mini Mafia II: Shakespeare Mash Game Thread
A bit of musing about thrones and claims thereunto...
The throne that Caesar claims is presently not apparently challenged; but while waking from my sleep I noted that the fates intimated to me that I am not a claimant to the throne. This waking thought has haunted me. That probably SOMEONE received a vision declaring that they ARE a claimant. Perhaps more than one person.
And perhaps that person wishes to be in the shadow at present. For safety's sake. Which might be an excellent plan.
But also... perhaps Caesar's claim is fabricated. In which case perhaps the actual throne-holder is keeping quiet for safety's sake.
There may be a way to move some of that insecurity onto a more secure footing.
BUT my question about it all remains... is there a connection between "rebellion against the throne," and 'scum?' i.e. if we find rebels, does that mean we find scum? Are there two different 'fights' taking place in this realm? (Town vs Scum; and loyalists vs rebels) OR are they really one fight? (Townies being also loyalists, and Scum being rebels.)
Thoughts?

I don't attempt to interpret Vecna's actions. He's probably town, though.dargorygel wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 10:55 am@bo
What do you think of Vecna's claim? This kind of thing DOES sound like something Brain would build into a setup. But does it sound like something that Vecna would make up, knowing that Brain is likely to have something like this in his setup?
Do you expect him to play so strictly to his anti-town or at least non-pro-town wincon if he has one? I wouldn't expect anyone like that to be so damn obvious about it, especially Vecna. He's not stupid, despite what his ramblings sometimes make one think.
Re: Mini Mafia II: Shakespeare Mash Game Thread
I think I have posted less about mechanics than you have, Rdrivera, as far as that goes. Also, it was in context looking at Vecna, who is doing something weird. Yes, it's weird because it's probably a mechanic.
Also, I am hosed at work this week and next. I'll be playing, but probably not setting any post count records.

Re: Mini Mafia II: Shakespeare Mash Game Thread
From what Vecna said, it sounds like ther are mutiple players that can make a claim to the throne, since he says his alternate win condition is to correctly predict by day 4 who will hold the throne at the end of the game. What I do not know is how a player takes the throne, if everyone will be informed when someone holds the throne, and if holding the throne at the end of the game is also an alternate win condition for those who can claim it. Does anyone who hasa "claim to the throne" wish to share any information about how to claim it?dargorygel wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 6:48 pmA bit of musing about thrones and claims thereunto...
