Well, it's much longer than I expected given the material you were working off, so well done. I think it's reasonable. I think it fits with my theory that one of the *problematic* lurkers is scum and that the killer is a more experienced player who knows his best chance to win is to not get caught by the watcher, and to outlive his useless lurking-to-modkill teammate(s). I think the point about EMC being a scumread because the rest are town (assuming you are) is a stretch. I really don't think BunnyGo is scum, so I'm skeptical about the scum-scum theatre; but even if I were scumreading him, I'm not sure the two of them could pull that off without being too obvious about it.

Well, it's much longer than I expected given the material you were working off, so well done. I think it's reasonable. Even after Vecna voted to end himself, you were still against it, and needed more persuading.

I would say it was an exaggeration rather than a lie. I'm sure I have said similar things about myself in the past and I know it is not true that I am always killed early even though sometimes it feels that way. So I don't think Vecna saying that was particularly noteworthy. The self-hammer was much worse but you still were opposed to hammering him for that.

EMC ISO:

EMC was actually quite active early on. Of his 21 posts, 11 of them were in the first four pages. He only started lurking after that.

Page 2 contains four posts which talk about the phase end time, the flavour, how excited he is that Balki, Bo and Flum are in the game, as he wants to see how "salty" they will get, and wondering if the new players have any experience. None of this is useful content.

Page 3 starts with a weird remark to Foxcastle about furry porn and slash fic. Then he engages with Brainbomb's stupid DnD game list. He is hurt that Worcej didn't realise he was in the game. None of this is useful content either.

He asks if Balki is "always this teethy"? having just on the previous page commented on how salty he expected Balki to be. This comes across as very fake on re-read.

Page 4 he has some initial comments on people which are actually of some relevance to the game. He thinks Worcej is more "lively" than before, that Chaqa is claiming to be busy "as usual", that he wants Vecna to wake up, and that "Balki is deliciously salty". And he has a read! A townread, on Brainbomb.

On Page 8, EMC wonders if Fluminator is attempting to seem like a noob.

On Page 10, he says he's busy.

Then he vanishes until page 42 (still during D1). He reappears and assesses the case on Temasek, and says doesn't think Temasek is scum.

P.43, he puts a "placeholder" vote on Fluminator. This is with 1hr 21mins until deadline. His vote will remain there until the end, on a pointless one-vote wagon.

On p.45 he expresses surprise at Flum's use of an emoticon.

On p.48 he laughs at a silly remark by Balki. The content of his post is of little importance, HOWEVER, it was made with two minutes to go until the deadline, showing that EMC was online at EoD.

Page 53 (N1) involves a chatty EMC buddying Vecna and saying "Flum is in my niche" (I have no idea what this means). He thinks that Worcej is town, but if scum, he reasons, Worcej would be Patient Zero.

Page 64, "oh no, RIP Brain".

On p.80 he's confused and on p.86 he promises to be more active. Three pages later he seems to have vanished again so no evidence of that.

Observations:

1. For some reason in the early game EMC is absolutely obsessed with gauging exactly how salty Balki is going to be in this game. This is just really weird. It's as if he has a major crush on Balki.

2. At EoD 1 he parked his vote on Fluminator and left it there. Nobody else was voting for Fluminator and the lead wagon was Temasek. EMC said more than once that he didn't scumread Temasek, but took no action to move his vote while calmly watching Temasek getting lynched and casually making jokey remarks to Flum and Balki.

3. In his first few games here, as town, EMC seemed keen to get into the game and was quite active and generally seemed relatively intelligent. He is a natural coward, and in his early games had a desperate fear of being shouted at for being involved in a mislynch. Such was his fear that he always left it until the last second to vote, so much so that multiple people threatened to make him a policy lynch unless he grew a pair.

In the last game, I observed how he had become somewhat less active and, when he did post, 90% of his posts were irrelevant chatter that did little or nothing to contribute to the game. As a result of this I correctly scumread him and we lynched his scrawny yellow ass.

I am seeing the exact same EMC here.

He is scum.

Of our three least active players, then, my instinct is now that EMC and Sulit/Bob are scum and, I guess, Pjandy is just a confused noob who is in over his head and will need to be replaced out. Or we could be lucky and all three of them are scum. It's possible.

It’s curios that none of the usual suspects were killed the first two nights. Xorxes, Balki especially.
