Why is he town? I have seen him suddenly show up with these long disquisitions as scum before. Off the lurker list, maybe, if he keeps it up, but why town?

Unless Bo has improved at the scum game, he is not able to make posts like that and sound sincere. He really struggles as scum.
Maybe you could link me to the game that happened when he was scum? Maybe my meta is off.

I'm not very good at finding old games, bo hasn't played for a while. I do remember a game where he was lurking scum early and then suddenly showed up with long analysis, but that's all I remember. I agree his N2 posts seem towny so far, but I'm not declaring him town based on that.

To everyone - apparently the thought process behind hammering was to change when the EOD was, but it was also evidently to deal with people lurking? Who in the fuck thinks of these things?

This is wrong on both counts.

First of all, who said the endhammers were about changing the timing of the EOD? I don't recall anyone saying that? Unless someone said it at EOD (which I am not fully caught up with), but by then people had been hammering for a long time.

Second of all the hammering did make Vecna stop lurking. He showed up and started posting. Unfortunately, he then decided to be the king of the assholes and suicide in a manner which is totally against the rule that should play to your wincon. But he showed up.

The main character is a cop, it literally says he's a cop in the first paragraph of the wikipedia entry. Considering some of the other convoluted/abstruse crumbs people have tried, it seems pretty straight forward.

Also, it's so obvious that I'm not sure that Brainbomb did it as a crumb as opposed to a pop culture reference.

He referenced it in the sign up I believe so that renders it useless

I don't think we should let up the pressure on them quite yet. If EMC is town, then he's probably one of the worst players I've ever seen and it's quite disappointing because I was excited to finally play with him lol. (Vecna gives a run for the money.)

I still believe Chaqa is scum. I've played with him a lot, and from a meta perspective he's playing his scum game to a T. He's way too lackadaisical.

Bo, Fox, Jamiet, damo are all people who I haven't noticed any tingly feelings from yet, and I generally feel they're on the same team from their posts, so probably town.

Bunnygo and worjec had some suspicious things but I think it was a personality thing and maybe they're town.

kgray and xorx are null-town.
Balki is too. He's hard to read tonally but he's only being doing pro-town things so far.
Bozo is also hard to read tonally, but he hasn't really done anything suspicious yet.

I purport at least one scum there (and max 3 coz I ain't) and my fav would be Chaqa who is not as engaged and solvey as he usually is as town.

Balki still remains my strongest town read. I'm waiting for him to show up and solve everything. (And I will always say this, because Balki is tricksy, he's worth keeping an eye on, his scum game is good enough to make him a deep threat.) Damo has been promoted to my town reads. I'm going to put Worcej here, too—he's irritating, but probably not scum.

Jamiet, Xorxes, Kgray, Flum, and Rdrivera are townleans. Also upgrading Bozo and BunnyGo to townleans.

So that really leaves Bo, Chaqa, Pjandy, and Bob, and EMC as my scum pool.

Overall, though, I don't feel great about this, I think I'm probably wrong. I dislike that I don't have any strong scum reads.
