Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
I was really hoping Vecna was doing a scum tactic instead of actually genuinely being so terrible.

Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
I was beginning to sway off Vecna until he made his last 10 games claim. Bold faced lie made me decide he had to be scum thinking no one would call him on it. Nope, he’s just bad
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
So, Vecna would rather fuck town than get off his high horse. Yeah, if he's going to complain about sub-par mafia on this site, he should fix himself first.

Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
This mafia site has a severe lack of mutual respect. It is a real problem. It is not fun to play here when people are playing with that attitude, and Vecna is not the only offender.
I'm sorry to put this complaint in the game as opposed to in the GOD thread afterwards, but I'm very much fed up.

Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Why did you wait until D2 was over before posting something? Why did you keep your D1 vote on your "placeholder" vote?
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
I agree. Everyone plays like they are in ELO hell. And most of the response is to try and quarterback and assume the worst of everyone else.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 8:53 pmThis mafia site has a severe lack of mutual respect. Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
I personally don't care if someone is being an A*hole because it could be a part of their game and trying to manipulate people, but what does bother me is the people who don't contribute just because.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 8:53 pmThis mafia site has a severe lack of mutual respect. Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
I am policy voting Vecna if he ever plays again which I hope he doesn't. I assume he's disappeared up his own arsehole.
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
I'm here ready to read up and contribute to day 2 and lmao we hammered day 2
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Who in the actual shit thinks it's a good idea to hammer day 2 instead of letting the lynch play out at EOD and learning from it, especially when EOD is on a weekend when all of us can actually be around for it for a change
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Ok Vecna self hammering is not helpful man, I know you're really fucking terrible at this SQUAWK but come on dude
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
By observation, weekends actually seem to be the worst time for phase changes.
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
I’m going to arbitrarily start reading on page 65.
To everyone - apparently the thought process behind hammering was to change when the EOD was, but it was also evidently to deal with people lurking? Who in the fuck thinks of these things? If you give someone who is clearly not available to play at a whim no opportunity to come out and play, you’re a) not going to get any info from them, and b) not going to convince anyone to lynch them. That is the polar opposite of how lynch-a-lurker is supposed to work, and if you consider, for example, me a lurker and voted for me with a hammer before I had answered any questions you may have or even had the opportunity to speak throughout the entirety of day 2, your logical deduction skills are inferior to mine when I was a high schooler. You should look at my profile to see just how much of an insult that really is.
Damo, why are you resistant to taking any initiative at all in determining who dies?
I’m stopping here on page 72 because to this point I have not seen anyone vote with a clear reason for the person they are voting for other than lurking. This is pathetic and my eyes are burning.
Part 2 to come.

This is strange. You get the risk of the hammer mechanic in this setup, but rather than driving the lynch toward someone you prefer when the hammers are being thrown around like pumpkins at my mailbox growing up every October, you’re just happy to stamp your name, eh, wherever.
Lmao what??damo666 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 12:16 pmOk fair point.

Jmo can you get your ASCII facepalm and put it here please

This is the towniest thing Chaqa has ever done.Chaqa wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 2:57 pmWell, then it would be tied and someone could come in and hammer the day.
This is the most Chaqa way to ruin the towniest thing Chaqa has ever done that Chaqa has ever done.
This is the new towniest thing Chaqa has ever done.
Did you have any interest in *who* died at all?

Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Well I'm working during the phase changes during the week, so they're the only time I have any chance of being here and having a clue of what's going on.
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Here we see Balki using his powers for good, not evil. But why is he using his powers for good? And why is he willing to be evil to hammer Vecna?Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 4:09 pmOkay, I just read the hammer mechanic. I don't really like that you can hammer with a majority, even when that majority is not all voting for the same person.
##unend
Though, I would be willing to hammer Vecna if we have a majority of players who want to hammer Vecna. And I think we should give him some period of time to check in and plead his case.
Update: like 50 other people caught onto this. Hopefully Balki is in some EON scumreads.
Would you care to hold this opinion before nonchalantly planting your vote on a lurker next time?Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 4:12 pmYeah, I agree. I don't want to end right now. But maybe today. I'd like people to step up and figure out this puzzle right now.
This is great lolJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 4:32 pmDAMN!
That's pretty good.
He's got you there, Chaqa.
You literally said you voted on the basis of a die roll, and now you think Balki is confirmed scum for not caring enough about which person is lynched. You appear to also be confirmed scum, by your own standards, no?
You seem to have a grasp of emc’s meta, as indicated by your thoughts on him bussing. Do you think that emc would be just as hesitant to vote for a leading town candidate as he would be his own teammate? Why or why not?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 5:16 pmemc voted more than one hour before EOD, but he was online at EOD as demonstrated by his last post occurring 2 minutes before EOD, yet he did not weigh in on Temasek vs. worcej.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 3:56 amWell, when emc made his vote, the two leading lynch candidates were both town. Tem had 6, brain had 3. So, it would have been pretty easy for emc to "make his vote count" at that stage. No partners in danger, a couple of townies on the noose...why cast a vote for Flum in that scenario?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 3:03 amI think we have a big problem with lurkers. Besides being low posters, bo_sox, emc, Pjandy, sulit, and Vecna said very little that had to do with the game and made no contribution to EOD.
emc was online at EOD but made no effort to make his vote count.
##VOTE emc
I could see it if emc and Flum are scum together. An easy chance to distance. That's possible. But if Flum is town, it seems like an unusual vote for scum to make.
Thoughts?
You were previously voting for Vecna, and then he came online. What about what he said convinced you not to vote for him?
Change of heart. What made him scum, and what made him caught?
Oh my god the new towniest thing Chaqa has ever done
I like the progression toward unvoting here, and I like the rationale and calmness. Town points for sure.
