Well, the difference here is I was doing a random vote on Day 1 with no real assumption of it being anything else, whereas Balki was making a conscious choice to vote for Vecna, and hammer him, without knowing how his vote worked?

Sure. I have played forum mafia on other sites, where the hammer mechanic works differently. So I assumed that the hammer mechanic worked the traditional way here when I cast my end vote. At the time I cast my end vote, there was only one or two other people (I think) who had expressed any interest in an end hammer, so it's not like I was flying by the seat of my pants at a time when it looked like the hammer was going to go through.

So please tell us sincerely how this says anything about my alignment, let alone that it confirms something.

I think we have a big problem with lurkers. Besides being low posters, bo_sox, emc, Pjandy, sulit, and Vecna said very little that had to do with the game and made no contribution to EOD.

emc was online at EOD but made no effort to make his vote count.

Well, when emc made his vote, the two leading lynch candidates were both town. Tem had 6, brain had 3. So, it would have been pretty easy for emc to "make his vote count" at that stage. No partners in danger, a couple of townies on the noose...why cast a vote for Flum in that scenario?

I could see it if emc and Flum are scum together. An easy chance to distance. That's possible. But if Flum is town, it seems like an unusual vote for scum to make.

Thoughts?

emc voted more than one hour before EOD, but he was online at EOD as demonstrated by his last post occurring 2 minutes before EOD, yet he did not weigh in on Temasek vs. worcej.

All of these end votes are interesting, I have only seen the end vote used when there was a consensus lynch and all (or almost all) end votes were on the same player. I am not going to place the eighth end vote, but I would be willing to be the ninth vote if I am OK with the resulting lynch.

Bo as scum isn't usually a lurker, if I recall. Vecna is deliberately being different so he doesn't die, it would be funny if he, you know, did.

This is what I was thinking about both bo_sox and Vecna, they usually put in effort as scum, but either one could be trying something different, maybe if they do not have the time to put into the game. They would not be my first choice to lynch today, though, I would prefer emc, Pjandy, or sulit/Bob.

That's too much hard work! Anyway EMC is usually either 3p or puts in a useless late vote. I can't remember either of them as scum tbf.

EMC was scum in the last game, and I caught him, on the first day. I believe that is the only game where he has been on the main Mafia team. (I think he was also Third Party in at least one game, but that's not useful for this analysis as the Third Party doesn't know who is on the Mafia team either).

In that game, on D1, the only day he was alive, EMC voted for BunnyGo (and no-one else, he didn't move his vote), and BunnyGo was a Vanilla Town.

So the one time EMC ever cast a vote as Mafia, he didn't bus. But that's a very limited amount of information to determine whether he ever *would* bus.

emc was scum in the game where teacon and I tunneled each other like mad, I don't remember what number it was.

That was M1007, when emc survived to the end as scum. I reviewed that game after D1 of M53 and found that emc did not bus in that game, which is why I was fairly confident he was not bussing BunnyGo in M53.

Vecna is good at being obvtown, and bo is good at being obvscum when they're active. (At least they used to be)
I don't know emc that well and I'm definitely suspicious of him, but I'm getting the impression from others he's always suspicious? He's definitely not playing how I pictured he would.

I've GMed with Chaqa before way back in M13, and back in the day I remember saying he's an underrated player when he had a reputation of being kind of bad.

But this game, I think Chaqa is purposely pretending to be stupid to avoid suspicion because there's no way. The annoying thing is there could be a chance he's doing it as town, but it makes things so much harder for the rest of us.
