They were the hero we needed, but not the one we have (anymore)

***Breaking News***

Due to complete exasperation at the idiocy displayed by the human race, the WHO has forsaken us. Helen Clark gave a closing speech.

"You all deserve to get infected, stop buying fucking toilet paper."

Temasek22 has DIED, they were the WHO, the TOWN Roleblocker
What the f$&@? He couldn’t try to lay low? Couldn’t even leave us a hint?

@Flum can you elaborate on the end voting? I’m slow and don’t totally get it.

@Flum and Balki: you two seem to have different ideas about meta game than the prevailing theory for the past 5 games I’ve been here. What are your thoughts on night time discussions?

I doubt Temasek was really trying to fake scum behavior as a town PR, he likely just made that up to try to defend himself and it backfired.

That was unfortunate, because it seems that if the role cop or watcher were able to identify the killer, the roleblocker could have roleblocked the killer indefinitely, eliminating NKs.

Night time discussions are useless since we can't do anything during it.
Eod is by far the most important and valuable time of day to get reactions and wagon analysis because the threat of death is imminent. Before eod, nothing that happens really matters.

However, eod is a very specific time and people can miss it, such as a PR getting lynched.

If people do end votes, then there is ALWAYS the threat of an eod. Then no one will be able to miss it and votes become much more powerful throughout the day.

This is also why people who sheep and barely post their opinions hurt the game.

I look forward to the ‘worcej is scum’ train on D2 already lol...

Why are you so certain you're getting lyched worcej? You're not even the top wagon
I am posting my 'final thoughts' before EOD so that people can go review them. I could easily see damo jumping to me if another person comes and I am now the highest wagon.

Giving you all my thoughts and reads is the most important thing I can do as the 2nd highest wagon. Saying nothing and just flipping is the absolute worst thing I could do.
What happened to your final thoughts? You were right about damo voting for you, and you were only one vote away from getting lynched.

Why didn't Temasek at least claim his role?

You're not talking about your alignment. You're talking about being flipped with a lynch. It's pretty defeatist to assume you're going to get lynched. I don't think you're being genuine when you say it.
It feels more like emotional manipulation than towny exasperation to me.
You can analyze my play style as much you like. I have zero regrets or desire to change how I handle being a wagon when I am a wagon on D1. At mylo, you bet your ass I will defend myself to the very last second.

I look a lot more closely at damo, considering if he was scum he didn’t care which lynch occurred. The same can be said about Flum and Balki.

I definitely group Flum and Balki in players that are not afraid to expose themselves by being vocal when scum because their past performances and general opinion veterans have of them can allow them to miss suspicion.

@worcej why didn’t you vote for Temasek when it was getting close and you thought you’d be the one getting lynched?

He wasn’t here to bother.

Like I also said - he is not a great player, though he has great luck with drawing fun roles in the games lately.

Because I believed he was town and self preservation is only necessary on few occasions

Yes... Perhaps I put more value in the chance that Tem was something I am not. Turns out I was right.

Really? You did not vote for Tem for purposes of self-preservation because you thought Tem might be a PR? When you say "Perhaps...." are you saying what you were actually thinking in the moment, or something else?

I am generally surprised at how confident you were that Tem was town. If you can explain why you were so confident, that would help me a lot in trying to read your slot.

I am confident because, as I have said, Tem is a new and unfortunately not good player. His performances in the game when he his PRs have been bad.

If you look at someone under that line of reasoning, I think you can see why I was confident he was town.

What is the value in quantifying the scum before qualifying?

Also - you bet your ass I didn’t vote for Tem just to ensure I live when it is D1 and I believed he is town.

Am I the only one that thinks the panicking self-preservation vote is worthless? If I had done it, I most likely would just be giving more ammo to someone like you to bury me later.
