@everyone looking back at Tem's press habits - do you think it has anything to do with voting patterns? Or maybe whether you use capitalization in when voting? There's a bit of a spectrum for whether it's "Vote" or "VOTE" or "vote"

I get that, I do; it's very wrong, but I understand the impulse. But since you were volunteering who you'd reaver (if you were prime) let me give you mine:

Any PR who is nearly unconfirmable and a major threat to me. That is:

damo! (I'd do it first night, second night, third night until I hit--wouldn't want River in my mind scanning)
dargo (next choice for watching...)
Tom (probably end up doing it by accident, but still good to get the bodyguard especially if he can't be watched or scanned)

If he's BH, he might announce his targets and try to gamethrow against town. That could have some appeal to disgruntled non-town, and there's a respectable degree of glory to a 3rd party win.

If he's scum, I could see him being assassin. I have no idea why a BH would fakeclaim (no way to verify), and it seems unlikely that he'd try to fakeclaim as a reaver.

Lynching him now means that secundus carries out a kill n5, so we'd still have 2 deaths (barring docsaves), if goldfinger flips BH. Commuting tem keeps him on ice for tomorrow's lynch.

Another idea, and then I should probably go to sleep.

1) Has everyone made a firefly reference? like, a quote or image post or something? Did Tem ever do any thematic references or quotes or anything?

2) idk if everyone knows this because maybe someone hasn't seen the show. The word is "Reaver." Not "Reaper" or "Rever" or whatever. I've seen a few misspellings (including one from Tem d4 before the GM warning), and generally attributed that to phone autocorrecting. Maybe there's a rule about spelling the name of his own faction?

OK the drugs got me to sleep a bit, so here are some possible hypotheses:

1) There is a posting requirement
2) There is a posting prohibition
3) The stuff needs to be easy to check (this need not be true if our GM is killing herself checking)
4) The bot's daylog could make checking easier...could be regards to posts, words, characters, rank in the postings, words per post...any or all of those could easily be involved
5) Here's one that's easy to check but impossible to decrypt: have to PM the GM every post you make
6) There are more than one condition, so multiple things interact to make the violation. This would make things very hard to decrypt. It's why I've been pushing for causing retriggers as opposed to a full code break.

So, 1 is hard to test for. 2 is what most of our tests have been. I think the bot is huge, especially the ability to search by phase and name and word all at once. 4 and 1 play well together, 2 plays well with the search function on the website.

Interesting ideas. Jamie hasn't liked my references once...I don't think the first idea is likely to be correct, but I'd just like to see him post some quotes or references to be less stodgy.

1) Seems like we can start ruling stuff out about posting inclusions by analyzing what Tem did or didn't do. For all we know, there's a list of phrases like "purple mayonnaise" or ::phrase in foreign language:: that they have to pick from. If the phrases were sufficiently strange they would be enough of a liability to fit the "not entirely rational" from the role desc.
2) That seems fair, though it's going to be harder much harder to determine what the rules are without clogging the thread.
3) Hard agree.
4) Agree. That's actually analyzable with ::drumroll:: a spreadsheet. ...because you can look at numbers side by side. You'd have to control for phases (or day+night cycles) where rule violations occurred, and look at the rest. Do they have to lurk? postcount has to = X + # of phases?
5) Nah. Too much work. Reavers aren't human, but GMs and players are.
6) Agree.
