Sorry to hear Superstition, but if you're still on I can try my best to explain for you.

Scum is everyone who is not town (i.e. Mafia Team 1, Reavers, Bounty Hunter)

VT is vanilla town (town with no powers). So VT massclaim would be people claiming whether they are Town Power Roles (PR) or VT

That is 4/8 for most of the town and 4/7 for myself and the 3 other VT in this group. I would like to see everyone's guess for the 4, but I would especially like to see the guess of everyone in this group.

I think the four scum are emc, peter, Super (unless he's horribly lost in the mechanics) and my best guess would be Vecna's slot.

That is hard. The first 2-3 times I played here I just had to ask a lot. To answer your unasked questions:

scum = enemy of town. Mafia members.
VT = Vanilla Town as in No extra powers.
Massclaim = Everyone states what their role is, the goal is to flush out the "scum"

Its a lot of press to keep up with, Superstition, but I'd urge you to carry on and dive deeper. Its quite fun once you get your feet wet. Read the roles again to familiarize yourself with all of them (there are a lot!) and then you can start fresh the next day phase.

Lurker - someone who doesn't post much
Cop scan - The cop's (or in this case READER) special ability to see another player's role
Vig - short for vigilante (or in this case HERO OF MUDTOWN) who can shoot and kill someone at any time.

But if you don't know something, ask!

At the end of the day though I only want them to stay if they’re having fun, so if he’d just be enduring it for me then I’d prefer to set him free and suggest he try a more vanilla setup in future (Chaqa’s M1 Redux setup maybe).

Eventually the town PRs can claim their exact roles, which will narrow down the scum to 2 players, and hopefully we lynch the scum first, but if not, the scum is still caught at the expense of lynching a town PR.

That stinks. I'm curious what your F2F experience is like, for me it's always been:

"I heard them making noise during the night"

"They were giggling!"

"They're too loud/quiet/etc"

Honestly F2F mafia has never been that fun to me.
