Flav, I work customer service, where it’s rude to interrupt someone while they are talking. Seeing as how you like to go on for 3 pages at a stretch, and comment on past posts like current events, I figure I wait until you finish.

Speaking of, your big dramatic turn onto my wagon seems forced or preplanned. I’ve been open about engaging dialogue today but most people seem content to talk about me and not to me.

Bozo is still desperate for a counterclaim that is never going to come.

And, I’m still the lynch nearly 13 hours after claiming. Hmmmmmm.

In DemonRHK's first post of the game, and only post in the first 18 hours of the game, he mentions 2 players, rdrivera and BobMcBob, and scum reads them both. Either he was very insightful, very lucky, or was bussing his partners. I suspect he was bussing, especially considering he never ended up voting for either of them.

Ok guys here's the GRAND case on Demon, he scumread rdrivera and Bob in the beginning of the game...aka the INFAMOUS JOKE PHASE, great going, Im sure he SCUMREAD a lot of other people too...but no you dont want to mention that, wonder why

Actually false, the way I do it is by going to the latest page that I was at, then commenting on everything, then I press the back space, sometimes I notice comments above, I've done this before btw, so this isnt new. And so then I comment on those posts if I want too, if not I wait until later, like Im doing right now so, the method continues, and guess what, more people are wanting to do it, because its just that dominant, so idk what your on, but maybe bad faith? especially since I want to lynch YOU

ND and yavu have already claimed something else. purple would have claimed when they were ready to sacrifice themselves to prove Tom was lying. So that only leaves three. Hopefully they say something soon.

- purple broke the tie
- I thought I was breaking the tie, but there's no way I can prove it

So from my point of view, none of the people voting for Bob are likely to be on team Moriarty. I suppose emc could have gambled that someone would break the tie the other way, but I doubt it.

No it was me that said that. The two people you left over by elimination both did fit for a lot of other reasons. Thats what Flav is also harping on about and reading out of context completely.

now thats just rude, you guys need to be nicer, I am just responding how I see things, if you have a problem with it, I dont care, its how I do things, and its objectively the best method in playing mafia, if you arent doing this, I'd love to know why getting full context on everything allows you to place down your actual views, instead of manufactured ones lol

Because a limited view, from a 'single perspective', is much easier to fake than an opinion made with an attempt at analysis taking into account the context of whatever occurred.

This is from both a time standpoint and an effort standpoint. There is a reason why people don't put much trust in "townslips" or "scumslips" the majority of the time, as like you have said, it is easier to fake.

In general, it's much easier pretending to be stupid than pretending to be not - coming from someone who plays a similar niche to you.

Here's another thing. For all you hate meta, Flav, it's one of the few things that's stopped us from collectively lynching you so far, as your playstyle is one that inherently comes off as scummy from an objective standpoint. That's not something out-of-the-ordinary. So is my own playstyle. So is yavuz's. Even Kalel, to a point.

You are also, I suspect, rather overestimating the effort people are willing to go in playing mafia, and thus underestimating the actual amount people are able to - or want to - change. Not to mention, the traits that people are unaware of they cannot change; pretty sure most of the more experienced players have their personal lists of "x and y are scumtells for player z."

For example, there are also some things like syntax or focus. Not going to reveal for anyone else, but personally there is a small correlation between frequency of pronoun usage and alignment. It is not something that is easily changeable without a good amount of deliberate attention and time, nor is it something that should be altered - most people do not consciously pick up on things like this, but it definitely influences their opinions to a point - especially gut reads.

But I digress, this is more of postgame discussion than commentary specific to this game. Can be left for elsewhere lol

More on focus. It's more difficult to manufacture genuine reads as scum, as everything you do notice or pick up on is already coloured through the lenses of knowing that person's actual alignment. Thus, some people attempt workarounds by not reading their role PM, or not reading all of their role PM (to prevent knowing teammates as scum). These are not methods that work for long, however, nor are they allowed in some games (such as this one).

People also have habits in creating such reads when scum. These are not negligible details, especially when taking into concern how some are unable to accurately fake their town methods of analysis.
