Are you sure you were? I see you asked Abgemacht to put you on the map a long time ago, but I can't check whether that actually happened.

Growing up in a Michigan suburb of Toledo, OH (a mile from the border) and having traveled the midwest quite a bit, other than the accent changing a little as you go south, I can say that yes, they are quite similar...

...except, in my experience, the highway patrol in OH is much stricter and more active than the state police in MI. Don't speed if you're ever in Ohio, folks.
