I completely agree (and I have no issue with your engaging xorxes... you aren't going to reveal anything.) This is xorxes at his best. He is trying to do one thing. Win as assassin. Whatever fake alliances and offers and clear arguments he might lay out.

I dont know what Flavius is trying to accomplish, but unless the GM's suddenly changed everything about how mafia works, nothing acts instantly during nightphases.

Would kinda suck if someone sent in a kill order to the GM's based on false information and shot town.

The role description for the Item Smith does not say the police scanner in night use only, and I assume Flavius would not try to mislead town.

yeah i actually asked the gm and he sort of vaguely implied some items could be instant use during the night.

I think Xorxes is pretty obv-town here. A very minuscule chance of being 3rd party but I really dont get the people saying he's normally even more involved as town. He's absolutely not, and this is about the far top-end of his town-solving playstyle. Also, the way he stuck up his lip at me is a pretty classic "I dont give a fuck bout your opinion type of play".

An important note: when using it on the third party, will the item even show guilties? Should probably be using it to fish out scum/assassin, which should be a pretty small group by now.

Regardless, having claimed this item was probably a bad bad idea. Makes things harder for darg as well

Bozo, I know you are in a "Gotcha" moment, but take a moment to consider how unlikely is this scenario of mafia thinking "let kill a mafia member and also use the janitor on it". It's almost an all in in the first night.

Gosh, there's really some next-level thinking and strategy going on here that I just can't get. Now rdrivera's got me thinking xorxes might not actually be mafia... I am a useless player. My only use now is backing up opinions, voting, and clearing myself if need be. Because this stuff is... really complex.
