Prado,TrPrado wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 6:10 amI think I'll be taking a closer look at the people who claimed Flavius "scumslipped" tonight. It was the point where I think a lot went wrong, and something about the whole situation just felt odd.
The inciting incident:
I hadn't looked up Flav's reads so I naturally wanted clarity, so I did what a great number of people should've done and asked questions. It felt like a throwaway comment about Ezio not posting a full analysis of the responses he read, and I figured it might be helpful to also get an idea of Flav's thoughts on other things that have happened in the game.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 5:01 pmIm not saying it wasnt a reaction test, but look at the differences between bo's and ezio's reaction tests. One kept the fueling of the flames, and found a scum, not only that he didnt do literally the only reaction test that a scum must say to enact their ability.
Ezio said the forbidden words, dropped off the face of earth, caused huge disruption, and now people are playing with nonsense to prove his innocence
Yet a decent handful of people took that comment in a WHOLE other direction. Those people were:
Jamie, worcej, Ezio, Kalel, bozotheclown
rdrivera (note bold)
The one who really started taking it down the dark path was Jamie. Page 43 he sees the post and believes it to be a scum slip based on the premise that Flavius "knows" damo is scum.
Then follow worcej, Ezio, and Kalel onto the wagon, with others considering it but not yet placing votes.
The other two on my list stand out for other reasons. They both talk about the wagon and interact with it for a little while, bozo pressuring him until he says he can't claim his role, and eventually pushing Flav to claim bulletproof, which later spiraled into everyone voting for Flav.
And then rivera, who stands out the most to me as someone who started talking about it EARLY but not getting on the wagon until everybody decided to lynch Flav as a role confirm. When I say he started early, I mean his post saying he thought it was convincing as a scumslip was when the wagon was at a grand total of 2 votes. The degree to which he attempted to be a voice on the wagon is unclear, but he most certainly seemed to want to stoke the fire, but he only actually joined into the fray when it became clear that there was no alternative to the lynch.
This REEKS of scumplay. To a degree far beyond the other people on the list. Looking back at his other posts there's absolutely nothing to make up for it. Hedging, weird anger at people for answering questions not necessarily directed at them, inessential and unproductive questions, little to no actual deduction. I just can't envision any of this being town.
I assume there will be one or two other scum on this wagon, so this is a good place to focus at least SOME thought.
I think you are either really confused on what happened or just trying to set a possible myslynch for tomorrow.
If you look at first message after someone pointed that possible scumslip I said I don't believe much on scumslip but that comment was weird. And then I waited for him to answer. And then he claimed his role, which was a big mistake as any player with a brain will agree. After the claim the logical thing to do is to lynch him and I will not explain why again. If you really wanted to find scum look for people that instantly believe Flavius claim. Or maybe you look at the mirror.

Felt like meming for a bit to take a break from typing:

Yes, my Ezio townread is growing weaker. As soon as the conclusions came out and there weren't any useful ones, I started second-guessing myself. Ezio, would you mind giving some actual reasons for your other reads?

Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
Who are these seven guests that keep being on the forum? Do people actually log out and read the thread to pretend they're not there?
Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
Yes, yes they do.
Also if they're reading the thread through the bot, it shows up as a "guest".
There's a meta that appearing to read the thread while not posting in it is "scummy" for lurking.
Personally I feel it indicates "invested in the game", but that's a part of why people avoid it. Although the bot does also colour code posts by user, which was invaluable last game when I kept mixing two people up.
Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
I don't have much to add. But with this being a meme game, I think I should have a post in page 69

Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
Try ISOing me if you want some readingBobMcBob wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 7:02 amNope I've been around since M.1. M50.1 that is. I was role thief and no-one picked me up on it! I have tons of experience. Yeah, this is my first game :) I'll try an do an ISO, but you've also posted a lot...
Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
read what you quoted againBobMcBob wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 7:28 amWhat the actual heck? I never scumread Ezio at all, or even voted for him. My vote had been on bo previously. I had stated multiple times I townread Ezio. I'm getting less confident though.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 4:49 pmWait so we sparred Squigs all night saying Ezio is mafia, and all of a sudden you just change your vote and dip? Literally makes zero senseBobMcBob wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 6:08 amUnfortunately, I have to go to a dinner tonight, so I don't have time to throw down any more reads (or even finsh my catchup reading). I can however throw down a vote.
Kitsune is my scumread so far, she's acting odd, seems somewhat forced, and there seems to be a fair few other scumreads on her too. So for now, ##Vote Kitsune
Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
Next time you do an iso, try and quote the posts so we can see them too. there are links frem the bot page

My questions about strategies for town roles is meant to be answered by people. I don’t understand how to play them. I don’t understand why the omniscient isn’t dumping knowledge. I don’t understand a lot of things, and I want to scum read your answers (or town read)

Hmm. This doesn't fit with rivera's scum MO though. As scum he is much more likely to bus, and he is not likely to join a wagon that he knows will flip town just to make numbers.TrPrado wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 6:10 amI think I'll be taking a closer look at the people who claimed Flavius "scumslipped" tonight. Maybe there is no omniscient. And if there is, the time to dump their knowledge is not at night when it will help scum discuss how to deal with it. If they want to claim they would do it at EON.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 11:33 am@all
