Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
You are assuming he can't change his mind once he sets the rickroll in motion, which may or may not be true. Usually people are allowed to change their minds in PMs to the GM, but this may be different. I'm not even interested enough to make a CALL GM about it, but I guess I must:Squigs44 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 12:34 amBecause it would be really really stupid if Ezio actually was the hammerer and we let him hammer on someone else when mechanically there is no drawback to stacking the votes on him for only 12 hours. If he's not the hammer dude we can switch off later and if he is somehow the hammer dude then he dies today without a mislynch instead of tomorrow with someone getting mislynched.xorxes wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 11:27 pmWhy do we have to do that, exactly? Wouldn't you trade any mislynch hammerer Ezio could produce for a confirmed scum? And if he does produce a mislynch, wouldn't it be interesting to see if it's the first chance he gets or not? And there's other reasons why a D1 hammer is good for town.
##CALL GM: once the Hammerer PMs the GM their intention to hammer the day, are they allowed to change their mind if the hammer has not yet happened, or are they committed?

This times 100! The game we're playing doesn't exist in a vacuum. Everyone here either experienced or witnessed what happened in the previous version of the game, and the role and the changes made to it have been discussed publicly and at length. Knowing that this would be a bad play for hammerer literally only requires that you have looked at either of these threads in the past couple days.xorxes wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 12:08 amThe chance of Ezio being the Hammerer is probably less than anyone else's. Are you saying he not only was not paying attention to his role, but he also completely missed what happened to Vapor in the truncated game?rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 11:29 pm
I didn't know I need an excuse to vote in someone that have a (small) chance to be the hammerer. People can make mistakes (cof, Vapor, cof), even experienced one's, like Ezio.

I'm not 100% convinced he is the Hammerer myself, but the votes against him will force an explanation. I am have thought about this move from many angles and my head is going in circles...xorxes wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 12:24 am@Kit, not making a list yet because it would be all wishy-washy, I'm not even sure who to vote for. I would be willing to bet that Ezio is not the Hammerer though. I will ##VOTE Jamiet because I think at least one Ezio voter has to be scum and he can't possibly believe that Ezio is the Hammerer.

I don't disagree with this statement at all.TrPrado wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 1:04 amThis times 100! The game we're playing doesn't exist in a vacuum. AND YET, I am incapable of thinking of a reason a player I want to not be lynched would do such a thing. This isn't to say a reason doesn't exist, just that I don't understand one, and can't figure it out.

Honest doesn't mean true. It's just how you spin it.

adjective
free of deceit; truthful and sincere.
Maybe you're thinking of some other "honest"?
Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
I think the reasons themselves could be sincere, and based on truthful statements. I agree that there would be some deceit in the reads, but yeah...a different sort of honest.xorxes wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 1:15 amhonestBunnyGo wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 12:59 amThey absolutely can. The only thing that makes sense to me is that he's Tanner and hoped for an insta-shot. Not unreasonable based on what happened already.BionicMole wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 1:10 amI'm not 100% convinced he is the Hammerer myself, but the votes against him will force an explanation. Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
Ok so on Ezio, are we saying he was really just trolling? Is that it? Ah that no actual hammerer would be that silly than to make it so obvious! and yet thats exactly what he did. He said it, he knows what he did, we can all agree this role more than any other has been exposed to everyone and the rules behind it extensively discussed. Heck we are still asking for clarifications on it.
So I guess my question to you Ezio nay-sayers(cough xorxes >.> and squigs)
Why are we playing mental gymnastics with Ezio? He hasnt even been on to defend what he said, why are you defending for him? Why cant you just accept the fact that he messed up and messed up hard, AND if he didnt mess up and just wanted to 'cause distruption' which he CLEARLY HAS
Why would a town want to cause distruption? There's zero town reason to do this and every mafia reason to do this,
@Squigs 'oh my goodness being stuck on Ezio is a true travesty!!! its not benefeciail to town oh no!!!' hello? we arent in a turn based world we can walk and chew gum at the same time. Park your votes on Ezio and find mafia we can do BOTH. complete and utter fake intellectual once again

It's processed like any other order of its type sent in to the GM. If the order is meant to be processed instantaneously (i.e. a shot), then no. If the order is not instantaneous (night actions, etc...), then the issuer has opportunities to adjust their order until it is executed.

In that case, the chances of Ezio hammering on himself are more or less zero.e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 1:38 am##GM Notexorxes wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 1:02 amYou are assuming he can't change his mind once he sets the rickroll in motion, which may or may not be true. I still think most of you are falling for the ezio troll so far, but I get the precautionary placement of votes.

So basically yea they can change their opinion, so what? That doesnt change anything Ezio still said the forbidden words, and there's no reason people can come up with besides;
scum
distruption
or trolling
scum
distruption
or trolling
Re: M50 Apocalypse Meme Redux
##CALL GM - For Wednesday-related powers, is "Wednesday" defined as a specific timezone which is "hosting" the game, the relevant player's timezone's Wednesday or a third option? If the third option, please elaborate.

There is no role I can see that benefits from being lynched at this point.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 1:45 amSo basically yea they can change their opinion, so what? That doesnt change anything Ezio still said the forbidden words, and there's no reason people can come up with besides;

Bunny may be correct that he was a Tanner hoping to be shot. That's my best explanation now, and I will be very disappointed if he flips town on lynch.
